    Hope the parking lots are set up to host tailgating. The parking lot we ended up in at FAU, directly outside their stadium, were clearly not suited for the activity.

    Consolidation is end game capitalism stuff and it’s happening nearly everywhere. George Carlin cover this pretty well, “illusion of choice” I believe he called it.

    Too little NIL money to go around apparently? It’s unfortunate, but football is where nearly all of the money needs to go.

    8-3 is my baseline. 4 teams might be better but we should win at least 1 of those. No losses to any of the remaining chumps.

    Heard it had to do with Herman not wanting USF using the home facilities…no clue on the validity but the person who said it has some connections to know. Herman seems like an a hole so sounded plausible.

    Agree. The crowd was rowdy but it didn’t sound the same. Might have been loud on the home side though. I do remember hearing the Cuse side on the 1 or 2 plays they had worth cheering for. Speaking of which, heard something about FAU not allowing USF to be home side? Has that been covered in one of the threads?

    This is gold. I don’t love the extreme hurry up offense yet but he’s won me over.

    One more takeaway for the new stadium. I couldn’t hear the USF band at all at the 40 yard line. Didn’t seem like sound travels well in that stadium. The band seemed to be facing an open section of the stadium on the opposite/home side so not sure if that is purposeful? Either way, we need to make sure our band is heard throughout the stadium and if possible make it so the opposing band isn’t.

    Stadium was okay, felt close to the field which was cool…but logistically this place sucks. The parking lot across the stadium had non existent tailgating due to the fact that a tent behind your vehicle would stop the flow of traffic. There were literally 3 places to buy beer in the stadium, 2 of which were beer carts that were emptied by the 1st quarter. The Jumbotron looked like a 32” tv. No cup holders. The bleachers/metal stands were actually somewhat of a positive as they became noise makers when stomping. But good win. Good crowd. Great month for the team.

    Concessions at this stadium is a joke…2 beer carts for the entire stadium and it appears they are out now.

    Note for the future OCS, you can barely hear the band where they are placed in the stadium.

    There will be a few but mainly OOC opponents - at least for as long as we are in the AAC. Folks want to believe the often published figures stating we are averaging mid 30k in attendance so it’s only reasonable they’d think we’d be selling out most games and needing more capacity.

    Yeah, not a fan of the pose. Harder to do with a helmet on so that’s the upside.

    Ditched Directv and signed up for Hulu + with local channels at the beginning of the season for USF games on CBSSN. So far so good although I don’t love supporting the mouse.

    Haven’t seen or heard anything about events yet, guess we (USF) are a little rusty at this. At this point planning on bringing the tailgate.

    I’m not putting much weight on the renderings considering they were called conceptual and the design company that produced them (which presumably was having trouble delivering at cost) was just replaced. My cynical take is the renderings served as a convenient carrot they could dangle to over shadow the actual news: the 1 year delay. But in general, I’d expect USF to be getting the shaft in cost and quality considering we are building at the possibly worst time for construction in modern history.

    Engaging and expanding the USF fan base is the most important thing for moving up. The stadium will help but winning, including and may be even more importantly OOC games, is the only solution to the problem. Next up, win the bowl game.

    Did you think it was going to be delayed a year? Don’t think the majority of the board expected it. They must have gotten the impression from somewhere.

    Not a direct quote but attributed to the spokesman. Certainly the messaging that was being put out all weekend was nothings changed, the “haters” are wrong. “Haters” being anyone who thought that changing firms wasn’t a positive development.
