Let's win out and get a bowl against a 6-6 p5 team! Love the passion of this team. They are laying the foundation for hopefully a playoff run next year. I think our fans would show up and get excited for a playoff game for sure!

I know that I'm getting waaaay ahead of myself, but we need to keep everybody for that playoff run next year! Not sure how much money wins against FAU and UAB are worth to me, but a playoff run is definitely worth something.

I get that I went to USF during an era where I was spoiled as a fan. Some of my biggest memories were being in the stands for the win at auburn, the shenanigans leading up to and the win against West Virginia. I rushed the field during that game and camped out in front of the sun dome overnight to get tickets. Those are the lasting memories that made USF special to me. I hope the current students will get that opportunity like I had. We all knew that we weren't going to be world beaters this year and the goal was to get our process right and to improve so next season and the season after that can be special. Our goal every year going forward should be to compete for a national title. Next year we have the playoff so we will have an opportunity. That should inject some life back into the program and hopefully those great memories will be recreated. I can't wait to beat an sec team at home next year or the year after that in the playoffs and rush the fields. This year is a tune up to get to that level and I'm here for it.

I'm torn because I like to see the improvement and lately we haven't been able to beat ANY fbs program so that is definitely exciting. At the same time, when I went to USF, we would schedule maybe one school on the level of our conference mates every year as a tune up game, so it's hard to get too excited for a win against a team that in my mind should be a tune up game. They are all now tune up games, but the question is what are we tuning up towards? I guess next year, it will be for a hopeful playoff run.

Watching the AAC games this week... They are all winnable if we play well. No juggernauts in this conference. I think Memphis is average at best and they are probably the best team in conference.

I have had troubles giving tickets away in the past, so I stopped trying. At the current time, I think the demand of a USF ticket to a conference opponent is in the negative for non family, some students, and diehards (might have to pay people to attend). USF attendance has always been based on opponent. Even when I was a student, it was hard to get students excited about the annual Syracuse or a weak non conference game. If they weren't ranked, there was very little buzz. It's way worse now but the only way out is to win, win big, and get some attention and hopefully demand will increase in the acc or big 12.

Don't get me wrong, I had a lot of fun and winning is always amazing! However, this was not a college football atmosphere. Maybe the OCS gets us there?

What stood out to me in the comments is when Golesh mentioned that Byrum was actually the one who suggested to coach that they should go for more deep balls. Was this akin to the Quinton flowers let him cook moment with Taggart?

I mean, our ceiling is pretty close to our floor right now. If we get real good and stomp these in conference teams weekly, the excitement comes from getting out of this conference and playing real teams.

I think we're an Xavier weaver and a Jimmy horn away from being a top 25 caliber team.

I have watched both navy and UAB play. They are real bad. We should whip them.

Amen! I'm going to enjoy it. I was sitting there at the game and thinking though that I would love to experience a rocking game day atmosphere every week. Hopefully some winning will cure that. A few more wins and hopefully we will get ranked and people will start taking notice again.

Brown is having a heck of a game and proving that he can hit the deep ball! I'm down to rush the field is we hold on. Who's with me?

What does that look like financially with less than 10k in attendance and many tickets being given out for free and many not used?

It has everything to do with that Indian burial ground under the sun done. We suck at every sport and have for a loooong time. No way else to explain it.

Free tickets are one thing, but you still have to pay for parking and it's a time sink...I think a stipend for parking should be given out for the free tickets to make it more feasible.
