  1. I swung by heads and tails during lunch. They have a decent selection and said that they should have some adidas gear in the next 2 weeks.
  2. I went to Ocala Christian. My mom still works there
  3. Unfortunately for me, I live on the opposite side of the city. It takes me between 45 minutes to an hour and a half to get to campus with traffic, so the majority of my post grad USF gear has come from plato's closet or tampa bay sports in the mall haha. BTW, I grew up in Ocala.
  4. Note sure how to properly quote articles, but the article states: "Ultimately, the goal is for the bull (which doesn't yet have a name) to chug across the back of the north end zone (between tunnels A and B) after each USF touchdown."
  5. Sadly this is the case with most businesses in the greater Tampa Bay area that sell college merchandise. Just go to Walmart. They will have 3 to 4 racks of clothing dedicated to both UF and FSU, but only half a rack dedicated to USF and UT.
  6. One of the partners at my firm was telling me about a store called "Heads and Tails" off of Kennedy boulevard. I plan on stopping by after work today, but has anyone been there before? Do they have any adidas gear?
  7. I agree with both of you. I like the idea, but the finished product doesn't scream USF to me. I think it would be cool for it to lead the team out of the tunnel, and then sit on the sidelines for all to see for the duration of the game. Once they are able to complete phase 2 and get moving legs installed, I think it will be pretty cool. I still say they should use a live bull though...
  8. Sorry for the delayed response, I just saw this. The horns are decals. I put them on after the boards were stained and painted, then put the polyurethane that I used over them to keep them from wearing and moving.
  9. I vote that we get an actual bull and have someone ride it across the endzone after every touchdown!
  10. USF bringing motorized bull to Raymond James Stadium, https://www.tampabay.com/sports/usf-bulls/2018/08/30/usf-bringing-motorized-bull-to-raymond-james-stadium/ Interesting, what are your thoughts?
  11. They cost me around $100 in materials. If I had more time on my hands I would build and sell them on a regular basis haha
  12. I wanted to start a thread for people to post their various USF builds (trailers, tables, cornhole boards, etc.) and also discuss possible ideas for builds. I will get the thread going with a photo of my cornhole boards that I build over the offseason.
  13. I for one am excited for this season. Then again, I am always excited when USF football comes back to town. I always figured BB would win the starting job, but I feel for BK though. He has been waiting for his opportunity for a few years, and just when he thought it was time the rug was pulled from under him.
  14. Ugh the Raymond James parking attendants. The bane of my existence.
  15. From a scientific standpoint, the black absorbs more heat than any other color. I get your thinking though, the dark green also would absorb a lot of heat. I just think black would be WAY too hot. Correct me if I am wrong, but haven't we typically opted for white over green in our 12pm games in the past?
  16. I really like the black alternates! This is Florida though, so I would not expect them to choose to wear black in the Florida sun very often. I would expect them to wear them if we get any nationally televised games this year, that are either up north or at night. But that is about it.
  17. I have seen this debate appear in multiple topics over the last couple of weeks since the new jerseys were released, but it looks like CCS wants to put an emphasis on being known as "South Florida" over USF. Full article here: http://www.tampabay.com/blogs/bulls/2018/08/12/usf-football-wants-success-with-no-mistaken-identity/
  18. The black alternate jersey is fire. I hope we wear it every time the game is after the sun goes down
  19. Look at QF in 2016 under Taggart vs QF last year. He was still good last year, but nothing like he was in 2016. Taggart ran an offense that was essentially fast paced and wide open, compared to Gilbert who called a slower paced offense and liked to keep things in the middle. This resulted in QF having to stay in the pocket longer. QF is not a pocket passer. The QB's we have now are more of a pocket passer, and I think it will be a benefit for us this year.
  20. You are correct that we are inexperienced, and I am not saying that we are going to put up 65 on elon, but we have 3 returning starters on a very deep offensive line. If those guys can give whoever ends up being the starting QB some time, the experience factor will be minimal. If they can be comfortable in the backfield and not be forced to rush throws, I think the offense will be just as dangerous, if not more, than in the prior year. Again, not knocking on QF. He was (and is) one of my favorite players and also one of the best players to ever don the green and gold. However, Gilbert's offensive style did not fit QF's qb style, and it showed.
  21. This. As great as QF was, his style of play did not fit into SG's offense. We have the potential to have a quarterback with a better/solid arm, a solid offensive line, a great backfield, and an even better TE/receiving core that all fit into SG's style of offense. the AAC may be sleeping on us right now.
  22. I personally like our practice jerseys better than the game jerseys haha. *Sorry for the sh**y quality of my screenshot
  23. I have seen them multiple places online but they are always between $150 and $300. Doesn't make sense to me to spend that much when I can get a normal canopy for $60. Here are some links: http://tailgatingfanatic.com/NCAAProducts/RV/Tents/South Florida Bulls.html http://tailgatingfanatic.com/ColorTent/South Florida Bulls.html http://tailgatingfanatic.com/PinwheelTent/South Florida Bulls.html https://www.walmart.com/ip/University-of-South-Florida-Bulls-9-X-9-Economy-Canopy-Shelter-Tailgate-Tent/40392549 https://www.bowlbound.com/211-42.html https://www.samsclub.com/sams/south-florida-canopy/prod20171728.ip https://www.onestopfanshop.com/college/south-florida-bulls/south-florida-usf-bulls-outdoor-tailgate-canopy-tent/ Additionally, I know a guy who has one and he said he bought it at K-mart a couple years ago. If we get a group together to order one, I would be interested depending on cost.
