  1. USF the last three seasons - 29-9 UCF the last three seasons- 20-19. they haven't "passed" us by. Thats just non-sense Stop drinking the National Champions kool-aid
  2. We have to make up two games, which means we either have to sweep one and win both or they have get swept or lose both. I don’t think UCF can beat them and don’t think Uconn will sweep them. I don’t trust all of that happening. We haven’t shown that we can win three of three.
  3. top 25 chat with D1 baseball regarding AAC teams How do you see the AAC shaping out? Are there teams that are guaranteed a regional spot already (Uconn, USF, ECU)? Can Wichita really get into a regional being under .500 in the AAC? Kendall Rogers: Bob, I think we all at D1B still feel pretty good about the teams you mentioned being in the postseason, while I’d also throw UCF into that mix, though not a total slam dunk at this point. As for WSU, I don’t care what its RPI is, I don’t think the Shockers are getting in if they finish 3-4 games under .500 in the AAC. I’m fascinated to see how they finish the regular season. They certainly look the part in person. How much did the sweep by Houston hurt ECU’s hosting chances? Kendall Rogers: Pirate — I still think ECU is in fine shape right now to host a regional. ECU has some very good front-line wins, including a series win over North Carolina, along with a good overall resume. But there’s no doubt that series sweep to UH hurt their resume. They’re likely out of a top eight for now and hosting isn’t as much of a slam dunk as it was a few days ago. Can Houston get an at large bid? I think they can Kendall Rogers: Eric, I think Houston would still be in the tournament even without the auto bid as of today. Yes, I’d like to see the #Coogs improve that 50 RPI, but 11 wins vs. RPI Top 50 is loud and they obviously lead the American at the moment by a couple of games. UH controls its own destiny, IMO.
  4. That's a tough call for the coach. Conventional wisdom says don't make the last out at the plate. Especially if one of your middle hitter is coming up. But sometimes the situation can dictate a deviation from that wisdom. Its a decision that gets made quick and cant be recanted. I agree about Phillips though, hes been real hot lately.
  5. Coaching Baseball doesn't the situation so I feel you on that. I think the reg title is Houston's to lose. A two seed would be good for us. One team I would like to avoid early in that tourny is Uconn. They are better now than when we got them.
  6. I'll be surprised if he gets put on the roster as a QB. I think Driskel is probably a better NFL QB than Flowers. But again, I doubt they ever find themselves competing for a the same spot on the depth chart. I'll be happy with him doing whatever it takes. He can make some big plays if the Bengals get him in some space.
  7. "His inconsistent play at quarterback but incredible playmaking ability is why some think he could be changing positions at the NFL level. The Bengals sent wide receivers coach Bob Bicknell and running backs coach Kyle Caskey to his pro day, which shows how they likely view him. The Bengals also added quarterback Logan Woodside in Round 7 of the draft, so the quarterback room is a bit crowded." Jeff Driskel is also on their practice squad. Bengals’ Quinton Flowers is one of the most exciting undrafted players- The former USF quarterback may be making a position change at the NFL level, but it doesn’t make him any less interesting.
  8. We have had some threads discussing baseball this season but not much about softball. Seems like they are in a good position to take the conference and possibly host a regional, although their RPI sits at 40. Softball battles Witchita State this weekend with AAC top spot up for grabs. Baseball is idle this week. () May madness beckons for USF baseball, softball
  9. USF's Draft Class heading to NFL teams I like Bruce Hector to the Eagles. They liked to rotate depth on the DL and moved some guys this offseason. hopefully he can make his way in to the rotation.
  10. My only shot at watching it was on MLB network and the regional coverage sent me to the WAS-ARI game. Would have been a huge story had he held on to it though
  11. Chaperoneing grad bash pretty much wiped me out this weekend so I didn’t but get to watch virtually any of the series. Seems like we played to the competition. Not sure if hosting is a real goal for us at this point. It would take a lot of things to happen that are out side of our control
  12. I could be wrong, but wasn’t Mike White a baseball only guy up until his JR or SR year in high school? Maybe he just wasn’t ready when he was here.
  13. I kinda want to see Houston win. Right now those two loses are to a bottom 50 team in RPI. Would like to see them move into the top 50. They are at 67 now. I don’t think ECU will drop to much because of what they have done outside of the conference.
  14. Yeah, I thought he was worth a second or third round selection. I just think in the first round, unless you are absolutely devoid of a QB, you have to pick the player that makes the biggest difference on day one. But maybe I'm wrong and this bad boy beats out Flacco, its not to hard to imagine.
  15. Yeah I thin that's all you need to chuck it up to Julio Jones (although might not be there apparently).
  16. Yeah. I'm not sure why I expected Cleveland to do anything else. Jackson in the first really surprised me.
  17. Earl Thomas Trade Rumors: Seahawks Star May Be Dealt During 2018 NFL Draft They should offer one or more of those second rounders ASAP. Thomas is a game changer for this defense.
  18. Yeah, they love them. They have an RPI of 12 but looking at their schedule I just don't see that many good wins, but I guess some of those teams are better than I think they are. Uconn is 9-5 against the RPI top 50, for comparison, we are 9-9.
  19. I think it was him (at least the person I am thinking of), he just didn't last a half. They started off with three punts with him under center, then they went to Hurts and Barnett threw his TD is garbage time. "We got off to a little bit of a shaky start in the first quarter, especially on offense," Saban said. "We scored a lot of points, made a lot of big plays, but still our consistency in execution needs to be much improved. ... My focus with our team right now is what can we do better."
  20. Three questions, not necessarily for Brad Is this the guy who started for a half at Bama and then was pulled for Hurts? Is the only reason we think he is talented because of his high school scouting report and the fact that he went to Bama? Is it possible that he peaked at 18.
  21. If you are looking for bulletin board material, 2 AAC schools are hosting, and we took 2 of 3 from both.
