  1. Defiantly not the same level as UF. These will obviously fluctuate every weekend but I thought it was surprising to see JU and FAU as two seeds. I think that is what has us going to Ga. Not sure if that will hold but both are currently top 20 in RPI.
  2. New Projections sends Bulls to Athens GAINESVILLE AUSTIN 1 Florida* (1) 1 Texas (16) 4 Hartford* 4 Quinnipiac* 3 Iowa 3 Sam Houston State* 2 Jacksonville 2 Texas A&M STANFORD CLEMSON 1 Stanford* (2) 1 Clemson (15) 4 San Francisco* 4 Navy* 3 St John's* 3 Ohio State 2 Missouri 2 Coastal Carolina* LUBBOCK ATHENS 1 Texas Tech* (3) 1 Georgia (14) 4 Grand Canyon* 4 Kent State* 3 Dallas Baptist* 3 South Alabama 2 Auburn 2 South Florida RALEIGH LOS ANGELES 1 NC State* (4) 1 UCLA (13) 4 Wagner* 4 UC Irvine* 3 Michigan 3 San Diego State* 2 Tennessee Tech* 2 Oklahoma CORVALLIS LEXINGTON 1 Oregon State (5) 1 Kentucky (12) 4 Wright State* 4 Saint Louis* 3 Mississippi State 3 Louisville 2 Minnesota 2 Indiana* FAYETTEVILLE NORWICH 1 Arkansas (6) 1 UConn (11) 4 Oral Roberts* 4 Yale* 3 Wichita State 3 Northeastern 2 Oklahoma State 2 Vanderbilt GREENVILLE TALLAHASSEE 1 East Carolina* (7) 1 Florida State (10) 4 Liberty* 4 Florida A&M* 3 Illnois 3 UCF 2 Duke 2 Florida Atlantic OXFORD CHAPEL HILL 1 Ole Miss (8) 1 North Carolina (9) 4 Jackson State* 4 UNC Greensboro* 3 Arizona 3 LSU 2 Southern Miss* 2 Stetson* 2 AAC team will host. I'm surprised by FAU and JU getting in as 2 seeds. I think that's what has us going to Athens.
  3. UF dropped another mid-week to Mercer. 1. Upset of the Day: Mercer Topples Florida A week after getting knocked off by Jacksonville in midweek action, top-ranked Florida was upset at home in another Tuesday game, this time by Mercer, 6-4. The Gators built a 4-1 lead after one inning, but Mercer tied it up with a pair of homers in the third by RJ Yeager and Le Bassett, then took the lead for good on Yeager’s squeeze an inning later. Bullpen wizard Robert Broom improved to 8-1 with six sterling innings of relief for Mercer, allowing no runs on four hits and a walk while racking up 12 strikeouts. Broom now owns a 1.33 ERA and has 84 strikeouts in 54.1 innings over 22 relief appearances this year. After enduring a six-game losing skid, Mercer has now rebounded with three straight victories to improve to 29-14 overall.
  4. Stuart didn't get the start I was hoping for. Seems like CBM has a quick hook on him when it looks like the wheels might fall off.
  5. This is very true, we say these things because of what UF returns( Maldonado, Schwarz, India, Horvath, Singer, Kowar, Byrne.....All studs). I don't know if they can repeat, but I believe they are a train bound Omaha. I would love to be in the tally region.
  6. 10 feels high. Sorry but Singer is for real and doesn’t need near the amount help he gets. So you can bet he wins their first game and everyone else will have to beat that lineup twice. Good luck.
  7. Anything can happen so it is possible. Just wouldn't put my money on it right now. I don't see us as a very successful tournament team. But you can bet we are getting stuck in either G-villie of Tally. That's just a location thing. I don't think Stetson will have the resume to host, but they have had our number this season too ( although it was mid-week games). Outside of that, there's a chance we can host, but we will need to sweep at least one of these series and win the rest to get a solid look as a host site. But I have a gut feeling that we will be back in G-villie, as a 2 seed and falling to them on their way back to Omaha.
  8. So its like 2nd, they have to be going towards to base/plate.
  9. used to be right? Now days won't the runner be called out? I know MLB was trying to get rid of those collisions so blocking the plate was illegal but I can't remember if they did anything against the runner to avoid it.
  10. Well right now, ECU, UNC, Duke, and NC state are in the running to host. There's a chance that they all host. I think two or more end up hosting and SC makes it, they would go there. We won't make it past G-ville or Tally.
  11. Actually know what. Don't, I don't care. E's are worse than WP. its ok for pitchers to throw one every now and then that cant be caught. I'm sure every big time program deals with that from their aces. I mean as long as our Lefty can throw mid 90's with his developing secondary pitches and lack of command, we have to ride that white rhino. talents like that only come around every so often.
  12. Not sure either team can make that happen. Unfortunately, it would have to happen after regionals
  13. I defiantly weight them the same. if anything a WP is worse than a E because there is no timing to it. you aren't rushed, you have all the time you need (To an extent) to throw a catchable ball.
  14. Would like to see Stuart have a better outing, He looks like a Future Fri/Sat guy.
  15. Another Bull in GB Packers hosted USF WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling on pre-draft visit
  16. DT Deadrin Senat While the projections of where Senat gets drafted vary wildly, there's a consensus among the mock-ups that he'll be the first Bull taken. Senat was un-blockable down the stretch in 2017 (three sacks alone in the Birmingham Bowl), propelling him into the collective consciousness of scouts during the all-star and combine season, where his stock didn't appear to diminish. We're erring on the side of optimism and saying Senat will hear his name called shortly after noon Saturday. Projected round: 4 WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling We see Valdes-Scantling, who possesses the greatest physical upside of any Bulls prospect (6-foot-5, 208 pounds), to hear his name called on Day 3 of what should be another banner draft for Lakewood High. While knocked for his hands (or lack thereof) from time to time in college, Valdes-Scantling didn't have a drop at USF's pro day, and absolutely torched the 40 at the NFL combine (4.37 seconds). There's simply too much promise for Valdes-Scantling not to be drafted. Projected round: 6 Related: Draft prospect Marquez Valdes-Scantling puts hands, heart on display DE Mike Love Our draft-weekend surprise. When healthy at USF, Love was highly effective (5.5 sacks, 11 tackles for loss in 2017) and appeared to have a really impressive pro day on campus last month. One assessment we read hails him for his "excellent motor and above-average skill set as a pass rusher relative to his overall production." Our hunch is, some team takes a chance on him late Saturday. Projected round: 7 DB Deatrick Nichols General assessment is, Nichols projects as a slot corner instead of an elite one in the NFL, though his blistering 40 time at USF's pro day (unofficially clocked between 4.32 and 4.36 seconds) may have changed some minds. One assessment we saw indicated several of his 11 career interceptions were the result of deflected or poorly thrown balls, but we have higher regard for his anticipation and play-making. Projected round: 7 Related: USF pro day: Deatrick Nichols makes fast work of 40 Free-agent signings We expect these guys' phones to ring moments after the draft concludes DT Bruce Hector: This Robinson High alumnus is simply too athletic not to get a shot at making a roster RB D'Ernest Johnson: Might actually have a better chance of making an NFL roster than Nichols or Love, just based on his versatility and special-teams prowess. QB Quinton Flowers: We see Flowers getting invited to a rookie mini-camp, and probably not as a QB S Devin Abraham: His college production (nine INTs) and high football IQ (befitting the son of a former NFL corner) will earn him a hard look in an NFL camp FULL ARTICLE:
  17. They have had an up and down season. Would need a pretty good run in the SEC tourney to make a at large bid though, most don't expect it.
  18. We are currently the cover photo for Baseball America, https://www.baseballamerica.com/
  19. Ace on ace has not been our friend. I don't think we really have a true ace. Not someone I trust to go out there and duel another teams best. I know its not a popluar opinion but...
  20. Sorry didn't mean to point out a fault of the almighty SM.... won't happen again my apologies. Wild pitches don't really affect games anyway.
  21. difference in the game was that all his pitches were catchable.
