    Seriously. I’ll easily admit that Strong has had struggles here and that he hasn’t really beaten many winning teams at all. It’s also hard to ignore that if he doesn’t win at least 1 of these last 4 games, it’s hard to see a future with him. But very few are taking into account that our Oline has improved, our defense has actually been good this season (2 of 3 years Strong has been here), our run game has been lethal the past 3 games, and that we’ve been plagued by injuries/suspensions at crucial spots. But hey, everything is Strong’s fault, except for the things we’re getting better at.

    The constant negativity on this board is exhausting. It doesn’t matter if the team improves at all way too many people seem to have mailed it in. I don’t care what has happened in the past, hopefully we go out and win.

    But it wasn’t, and our defense played really well. That’s completely hypothetical but ECU also played a lot better against other teams than us. They should have beaten Cincinnati and they didn’t come anywhere near keeping it a close game with us.

    I know, we haven't played well. But I think we see more pieces come together this week.

    ECU was probably as close to a complete game that we've played all year against an FBS team, with UConn going into consideration as well. With as healthy as our teams seem to be, do we finally put it together against a better team, someone with a winning record past the first few weeks of play? I'm thinking there's a good chance we see us perform well.

    You can't replace Yetna but this guy might help fill a big void. I really liked what I saw from him.

    Yeah, a lot of fans on here jump to conclusions without knowing a single thing. Shocking, right?

    It just makes getting to 6 wins much more realistic and obtainable. I don’t care how we do it but if our offense clicks on at least some of these games we could be in for a show.

    Even if Cincy wins, which is probable, think about this... This USF defense has allowed less points to ECU than Cincinnati and UCF did. We’re also the 64% favorite on the matchup predictor for ESPN against Temple. If our offense was able to get healthy during the bye we might be a decent team, and have a legitimate shot to pull off some upsets down this last stretch. So many of us hit the panic button but the signs are showing we’re trending upward, now hopefully let’s get out there and keep playing like that.

    I disagree. I don’t think Ford is our best offensive player. I think Wilcox is and I think it’s a close 2nd between Ford and Cronkrite, but I would probably give the nod to Cronkrite. Ford is an amazing player but I don’t necessarily think he’s our best.

    Receivers deciding to do their part and catch the ball also played a part. Some throws have been atrocious but the same can be said about dropped passes.

    I mean that also may be the case lol, but I don’t see what I would have said to warrant that. UPDATE: Weird...I just checked back and now I see him. I’m actually thinking he might not be as weird as that sounds...

    I had heard some rumors stirring, so I checked Ford’s Twitter yesterday. In all, nothing exciting. Today I checked again and he’s officially off Twitter.

    That’s fine and dandy but the last football game we played, we didn’t suck. We don’t look like a great team yet but Saturday we looked like a good team who beat a bad team, as opposed to last season where we looked like a bad team barely beating another bad team. We’re inconsistent until we’re not, and I’d rather take the momentum going forward than throw my hands up and just say we suck. I don’t know how many games we win in these last for, and don’t even know if we win any of those, but I’ll take progression rather than regression.

    How many of these are special teams? I feel like that’s where the bulk of our penalties come from. I’m always reluctant to get on the “fire coach” bandwagon but I’ve wanted Burke gone for awhile. He’s been really bad while here.

    Memphis has shown that they’re beatable. Last week Temple shut them down and this week it took a last second missed field goal to escape 2 win Tulsa. If we have a path to post season I’d say Memphis and Temple are the most likely wins.

    Evans took a hit to the head. You can’t base whether someone is durable or not based on that. Doesn’t matter how big or strong or tough the guy is, if they’re hit in the head hard enough you don’t want or need them going back in the game... that’s just dumb.

    Lol it happens every week with teams across the league. ECU had every right to boo if they saw this happen, but this was also just a football play. Looking up “Auburn Injury” from their game yesterday.
