  1. I don’t think it holds any authority but it shows a lot of the things we’ve been seeing week after week. Like I said, I really can’t stand TDS but that doesn’t mean I think this is horrible. They also pointed out some really good plays from USF and makes me think McCloud isn’t nearly as bad as what a lot of us were thinking.
  2. Not at all. I think that some responsibility falls on Bell, Strong, etc. But there are drops that should be catches, and there are blocks that should be made that have nothing to do with a lack of coaching. I think the bigger concern is that a coordinator was brought in with a completely different style of offense in a year that could make or break the head coaches career.
  3. Not in football, but I’ve played and coached. I know it’s a very huge influence but I also know that if some players don’t want to step up then that can ruin a lot.
  4. So in other words, these players aren’t accountable for anything
  5. “trying things over and over” so there were zero attempts to make adjustments this season? Nah, it’s really not. It’s trying to show that there is more depth to an idea of “Kerwin Bell isn’t good.”
  6. Some of you are acting like that was done with no reasoning involved. Didn’t Bell move him back after a couple games? It was Atterbury that I was thinking of but that was indeed a Bell move.
  7. Which is why I’m having such a hard time understanding this whole situation. Strong has had no problem getting rid of kids who are cancers to this team, so something doesn’t add up with all of this. Not saying overlord is wrong but how do you justify keeping a kid on the team that just doesn’t want to play?
  8. Where do you get that the offensive line was that much better last year? And new system in a new year doesn’t mean they’re going to get better this year. If these things happen again next season, then I say sure, a lot of it falls on Bell. Also, talking about putting players on positions they weren’t meant for, didn’t Gilbert do that as well? If I remember correctly Bell adjusted that.
  9. I want to start by saying I simply cannot stand TDS but that’s a whole different story. However, this is good film review. For those saying KB is doing a terrible job, there probably isn’t a thing in the world that will change your mind, but this film says otherwise. The plays are there. Who is responsible for that? KB. The PLAYERS AREN’T DOING THEIR JOBS!! KB can’t get out there and catch for them. He can’t get out there and magically fix the offensive line. He can’t get out there and block for them. Don’t tell me for once second “our offense is bad so this all falls on him” because whoever recruited what’s on the field didn’t do THEIR job (and hint, it wasn’t KB). The problem is that many of us thought he’d come in and fix every issue USF has on offense but in reality that’s like trying to fit a square peg in a round hole. Watch for yourself, or continue to be closed minded. Your choice. https://www.thedailystampede.com/platform/amp/2019/11/28/20985650/tds-film-room-memphis-review-charlie-strong-usf-memphis-football-kelley-joiner-kerwin-bell?utm_campaign=thedailystampede&utm_content=chorus&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter&__twitter_impression=true
  10. Not trying to contradict you, because you’re right, you’ve been spot on, but why would he go out of his way to defend Strong if he hates him like he did in this instance when he called out Torello
  11. I’d imagine he probably is correct with this. It’s just been a weird season.
  12. This 100%. CCS is nowhere off the hook and should take responsibility for a lot of these problems. I think even if we were healthy, it would be hard to mask a lot of the adjustments that needed to be made, including O line and special teams. I think this offense was an entirely new system that was hard for most of our players to learn.
  13. Under a new coordinator with multiple hurt players and none of his that he’s brought in. Yeah that makes sense.
  14. Our top two running backs are hurt, our starting QB from last year is hurt, we’re starting another freshman QB who has been hurt and is hurt again, Macon is probably out again, and Evans, another backup QB, was also hurt for multiple games. No, teams don’t usually have it THIS bad. And before you go spewing about how Barnett was pulled out anyways, we’re talking after 1 1/2 games. Let’s also not forget that this was a lot of these guys 3rd offense in 4 seasons. For Barnett, it was his 2nd offense in about a year. You seem to be expecting perfection no matter what. Everyone’s patience is on thin ice, you’re not special to that, but don’t act like Bell has all the pieces there to succeed right away when that’s not reality.
  15. I’m a big fan of Don Draper. Mad Men is a great show.
  16. Probably less to be honest, but we need to be careful. Both of those programs have more hype than us and if that continues that does nothing good for our recruiting. We don’t need to worry about the bigger programs, but the ones that can steal recruits that we have a legitimate shot at are concerning.
  17. And USF is the only one on that list not bowl eligible. That’s extremely sad.
  18. When Bell got to USF he said that his receivers at Valdosta State were faster. That’s astonishing.
  19. No need for that. He’s a good person, but the good coach aspect is still debatable. At least I don’t have a knee jerk reaction like 90% on here.
  20. I was the one that mentioned that, and go back and read my most recent comments.
  21. I did indeed. I lived there up until this past year I still work there. I went to Belleview high for two years and then West Port for the remainder. There are a few of us lurking on here
