  1. Has the 23rd ranked recruiting class in the nation going into next year. 2 of those recruits are top 100 players, which is tied for 6th amongst teams overall. If we don’t win next year, something is seriously wrong.
  2. I think the Big East was still a more physical conference than the AAC. I'm not downing the AAC but it seems like there were players in the Big East years that USF was part of that wouldn't even consider the AAC in current times. The athleticism now is an argument to be made, but overall I still think the Big East has the upper edge. Just my opinion, though. With that said, I gotta go with Flowers over Grothe. It's really difficult to compare the two and each have their aspects that they're better at than the other, but I've still to this day not seen a QB as evasive and dynamic as Flowers. Grothe had more passing yards (by 500) but Flowers had almost 1,500 more rushing yards. Different times and it's really difficult to compare.
  3. There are certainly multiple games that could have been won had we had Josiak as our Friday starter past the first few games of the season. But we still need to find ways to win. One pitcher shouldn’t change the entire course of our season. His seat is hotter because he’s had just as much time in a situation that has never once been a rebuild for him other than his own doing. He’s been so up and down, and if anything he’s trending downward. I’m not saying fire him but he needs to do better. Plain and simple. also, ignore the haters saying this is off topic. It’s literally a baseball topic in a baseball thread, and this conversation very much relates to players either on the team or ones who are transferring.
  4. How is discussing the job that Mohl has done not related to players on or leaving the baseball team?
  5. So what? Are you kidding? That’s fine, ride off into the sunset with your bag full of participation trophies. & excuse me, 2 of our last 3 were losing conference records, and the other 1 was .500.
  6. Whoa, I'm sorry, what? How is it ridiculous to have an expectation of not having a losing conference record for three years straight? I give him credit for the regional win but what did he have to show for it the following season? You can't skate by and expect to compete in the conference every season if you can barely make it to .500 year after year. I expect us to at least be competitive in the conference and quite frankly, we should be making it to a regional pretty often. We're a school with a 50k enrollment in the heart of a state that has as much talent as possible.
  7. I don't understand why you're having such a problem with people being skeptical about Mohl. His first year he had a lot of talent left over from Kingston. What happened the next year? We quite literally didn't even qualify for the conference tournament in our own back yard. Might also want to take a look back at the 2020 season before everything hit the fan with covid...again, not great. Every team in the country had to navigate through covid, we're no exception. 2021? We had a pretty bad regular season. I'll give him the regional win, because that's very impressive and deserves to be recognized. 2022? went back to the trend we saw prior to the post season run from 2021. This wasn't a good season at all. 2 players got kicked off the team that had no business being back on it in the first place. I'm sure that did wonders for the locker room. It's great that you like Mohl, it really is. But don't be surprised when a lot of people want better. At the end of the day, we're still not even a top 5 team in our conference, and being in the state of Florida with that kind of result just isn't good.
  8. And they've also had 3 consecutive losing conference records. Aside from the beginning of the season I don't see how you can make any justification that we were competitive this year, at least as a whole. What did we have, 2 series wins and 0 sweeps? That's inexcusable. Losing our ace sucks and would be a blow for any team, but don't pretend for a second that we're improving under Mohl. Last season was huge winning our first regional, but what happened after that? A really bad follow up. Now, we do have a good recruiting class coming in so not all hope is lost, but for a coach this far along in his tenure, we need to be a consistent threat and we're simply not. There's no reason we shouldn't have had a winning record this year, and the only reason we had one last year is because of how long our post season play lasted.
  9. Last time we did something similar to this, it didn’t work out well at all
  10. Agreed. It's hard to get an actual sense of any of the QB abilities outside of McCloud with how much of a carousel it's been.
  11. I disagree. He had arguably one of the best passes of the season against Notre Dame. He has an arm and got the conference offensive player of the year at Alcorn State for more than just his legs. Maybe the coaches see him as a single threat, but if you look at some of his old college tape he certainly has the ability.
  12. If I’m the opposing defense I’m blitzing just about every single play.
  13. Except two family members of mine have died from it, so for them it was a death sentence. And before anyone says "wHaT uNdErLyInG cOnDiTiOnS dId tHeY hAvE" the reason they didn't wake up the next day is because their life was cut short due to covid. The point is, nobody should be living in fear, but that also doesn't mean we need to have a careless mindset. Each of you are smart enough to figure out that while you may not be sick, you can give it to someone unintentionally that could. I have no problem with people going to games. It's open air and from what I've seen you can space apart fairly easily and masks are required. It's as simple as being responsible. It's the "it won't affect me" mindset that I can't stand.
  14. Good, he needs to be in this position because I’m almost certain the pandemic saved his job.
  15. I think we'll have better QB play so as a whole I really do think we're a better team this year. Defense may have regressed with the loss of some key players and our schedule doesn't seem as easy. It's really hard to predict this team other than saying I don't think a bowl game is very likely, but I'll be really annoyed if we lose to FAU even though they're the better team on paper.
  16. Like I’ve said before, I’m going with Noah Johnson. True dual threat that would fit a system with a weaker OLine
  17. I’m going to say Noah Johnson will be QB1 and we will be very will positioned to win this game.
  18. No apology necessary at all, I get the same way about the things I believe in. Cheers to hoping we see some Bulls football in two weeks.
  19. I’m not debating that there was a knife in the car. I respect your take on these matters but I was essentially saying be careful what you post because some of that can be refuted. Not that you need a moderator by any means, though. Eiether way, Go Bulls
  20. There are either factually incorrect or unproven statements in what you just said, and it's very easy to google that and figure it out. You being mad solves nothing.
  21. Now do the person who had a literal assault rifle in their hands walking around that police felt zero threat from all while making it to a completely different state without a single cop blinking their eye.
  22. All of it. Bring it all back. There’s absolutely no way it would be a bust.
