  1. I am just hoping they truly are not reading into the "must" mindset and are able to stay connected, humble and not press to hard.
  2. I hope that the days off have helped these guys get rested and be ready to go to war. With the #25 ranking going into Charlotte they are going to be more than ready for us. I know the last 2.5 weeks all of the games have been a must win. I heard it the other day that this team has forgotten how to lose games, and that makes them a problem. Hopefully we continue to do what we do. This is going to be a battle.
  3. Has Hard Rock put out the line for Saturday? I cant find it on the APP.

  5. I started that post as the reality of actually making it to the NCAA tournament was starting to become real. Regardless of how this season plays out, it has still been a huge success and we should enjoy these moments. It would be disappointing to say the least if we do not get into the NCAA. However, it doesn't define this season. We have the chance to be the number 1 seed in the conference tournament along with a regular season title. We have sold out back to back games. With a potential third sell-out on the horizon against Tulane. Tulane! We return almost everyone next year. I have been following the program since the late 80's and this season has been nothing short of special. Seeing the YC with all that green makes you really see everything that is possible. This was not a thread created about enjoy it while it is here, because it isn't going to last. No one knows what tomorrow will bring, so let's just appreciate the now. Go Bulls
  6. IMO CAAR is not going anywhere. I believe that we would match any offer that could come calling. If the money is close, no way! If the YC had been empty throughout this run, yeah I can see him leaving. He has inserted himself into this community and look at the results. Back to back sellouts, that is all green. The community and the students have embraced him. Of course winning helps. I just heard in the last interview that they are dialed in to the hometown talent. They are saying we haven't seen South Florida around here in a while. We are just getting started. "This Aint the Same Ol' South Florida!" This season hasn't been good.. This season hasn't even been great.. This Season is ELITE!!!!!!
  7. I love what CAAR said in the press conference after FAU. That nobody is going to decide what their success is. IMO this season has been a huge success. I do not remember how many NBA scouts they said were at the game, but I think they said 6. Yes a conference Title is a reality, if we take care of business We have the ability to be the #1 seed in the conference tournament. We sold out the YC. The Foam Dome was rocking like we have not seen in a long time. Whatever Happens lets just enjoy it. It has been an IncrediBULL run!
  8. I do not watch a lot of WBB. I just watched that highlight reel, and she looks like she has a skill set. Again I do not watch a lot of WBB, and I certainly do not watch a lot of international WBB. I do know that CJF has had a lot of success recruiting international players, I have to trust that he brought her here for a reason. I have to believe that she has not been able to become "comfortable" in this system against this competition.
  9. They got their home town hero. He can recruit just because of his name, but I really don't understand when people are like "Penny doesn't get the credit he deserves!" Is it better to have talented players and under achieve, or be left wondering if it is your players or your coach.
  10. yeas it would be nice if he was a bit taller, but man I can guarantee you the guards in this league are going to hate him for the next 3 years. He is tenacious which makes up for lack of height. He has quick hands, quicker feet, and gives 0 fcks.
  11. IMO when Placer is in the game I feel like it is a liability on defense and he seems to be a step slow. Maybe he is still tentative with his hamstring, but I much rather have Reid out there and Placer should just be spotting up for 3's. He is a great teammate though.
  12. I believe everyone is back with the COVID extra year with the exception of Jose Placer. Jennings will still have 2 years left as he is redshirting this year.
  13. As coach says job not finished. Looking at the seeding for the tournament being one of the top 4 seeds is huge as you don't play your first game until Friday: 2024 American Men's Basketball Championship Schedule Wednesday, March 13 Game 1 – No. 13 seed vs. No. 12 seed – 1 p.m. ET/Noon CT | ESPN+ Game 2 – No. 14 seed vs. No. 11 seed – 3 p.m. ET/2 p.m. CT | ESPN+ Thursday, March 14 Game 3 – No. 9 seed vs. No. 8 seed – 12:30 p.m. ET/11:30 a.m. CT | ESPNU Game 4 – Game 1 winner vs. No. 5 seed – 2:30 p.m. ET/1:30 p.m. CT | ESPNU Game 5 – No. 10 seed vs. No. 7 seed – 7 p.m. ET/6 p.m. CT | ESPNU Game 6 – Game 2 winner vs. No. 6 seed – 9 p.m. ET/8 p.m. CT | ESPNU Friday, March 15 Game 7 – Game 3 winner vs. No. 1 seed – 1 p.m. ET/Noon CT | ESPN2 Game 8 – Game 4 winner vs. No. 4 seed – 3 p.m. ET/2 p.m. CT | ESPN2 Game 9 – Game 5 winner vs. No. 2 seed – 7 p.m. ET/6 p.m. CT | ESPNU Game 10 – Game 6 winner vs. No. 3 seed – 9 p.m. ET/8 p.m. CT | ESPNU Saturday, March 16 Game 11 – Semifinal 1, Game 7 winner vs. Game 8 winner – 3 p.m. ET/2 p.m. CT | ESPN2 Game 12 – Semifinal 2, Game 9 winner vs. Game 10 winner – 5 p.m. ET/4 p.m. CT | ESPN2 Sunday, March 17 Game 13 – Championship, Game 11 winner vs. Game 12 winner – 3:15 p.m. ET/2:15 p.m. CT | ESPN
  14. Also remember it is always better to lose earlier in the season. if this team runs the table the rest of the way and finishes 24-5 and has a strong showing in the conference tournament. They would deserve a 11 or 12 seed. IMO
  15. I can not ever remember us having a player with this much success getting to the foul line.
  16. I feel like he needs to start as well, but his role coming in off the bench with his defensive energy is almost like a sucker punch to the other team.
  17. Is an absolute killer as a freshman. I am already going to put him with Anthony Collins AND Chucky Atkins. Call me crazy but as a true freshman and from the small sample I have seen, IF CAAR can develop talent this kid is going to be special. His numbers are equal if not better than both of these guys in less minutes. Enjoy your day.
  18. Awesome thanks for the replies. It was hard to pick up his demeanor from the espn+ broadcast. Definitely need him going into conference play.
  19. It has to be something internal with the team like behavior or team rules. They would have said he was out due to injury or illness. He was on the sideline, but from the TV broadcast I never could tell if he was actually on the bench or was supporting his teammates. I did catch him one time like he was on the stationary bike. Wondering if this issue is over or just begining.
  20. agree that with so many new faces coming in it is going to take more time for guys to gel. Which is why I think even more reason to give guys more time on the court and let that start to be who stays on the court. To the point above Youngblood is supposed to be our face of this years team, yet he is 3rd in minutes played. I like Miguel coming off the bench, but again I feel we need to give the guys more time on the court in game situations to grow together. I like Miguel coming off the bench and has to be the early favorite for sixth man, I also like the change of pace with Reid at PG, more importantly his is defensive energy and attacking mentality.
  21. No one saw the win coming against FSU. We see the potential, however the results have been very inconsistent. I know that CAAR is trying to figure out the best rotation. How many different starting lineups have we seen so far this season. Is it a bad sign that the coaching staff has not seen enough in practice or games from some of the players to just lock in the starters. Could this be causing our players to press too much on offense or play tight? The defense that was played against FSU was great, they made FSU uncomfortable, where was this against C. Michigan, Maine, Hofstra, and UMass. We wont develop an identity if we do not settle on a style of play. I don't see anything wrong with a 9 man rotation, but your best players need to be on the court 28-31 min a game. If that is 3 or 4 guys soaking a majority of minutes so be it, then the role players will fall into place. I don't see how we fix the consistency issues if we changing rotations and starters every game. Look at the ranked teams, and how their minutes are distributed. It is a bad sign if our players have not separated themselves at this point in the season. We are going to have a long season, even coming off of a decent win.
  22. Does anyone have any insight on the rotation? I mean I understand that CAAR wants his players actions in practice and games to dictate the rotation, but does that help our continuity? This loss sucks, but our shooting this game was absolutely off 31% is beyond terrible. We only had 11 TO and still won the battle of the boards. FT shooting was lights out minus the 2 misses at the end.
