Treasure Coast's Travares Copeland, a 5'11, 175 pound ATH/QB/WR has seen his recruitment take off since being named MVP at the Orlando combine. He recently picked up offers from USF, Kentucky, Georgia State and Louisville, and plans on taking a Junior Day visit this weekend to check out USF.

FWIW, In Orlando he won MVP playing WR.

Wide Receivers

Treasure Coast's Travares Copeland won the WR Award and the overall MVP Award. He has played mainly QB the past two years, but showed that he has the chance to be a difference-maker at the WR position. Very quick with great hands, he plays the game effortlessly. Just a natural athlete.

Nothing wrong with his choice of song - he's just saying he wants to play for a BE Champion team from the state of Florida!

I will say this though, he better learn to tuck that ball away - D1 NCAA players'll strip it right out of his hand.

I was wondering about him. Great looking kid, plays right around corner from me. Hope he comes on board even if we get D'Vo.

Copeland likes Rutgers and USF a good bit. He ends up at wide receiver. Outstanding athlete who is both quick and fast. Reminds me some of Jeremy Deering from a couple years ago.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
