that was a pretty good effort last night . . . but we could really use some more points . . . you're the only way us fans will ever see another TD this season (OK, that's a small exaggeration).  gb!

Bonani, who everyone probably knew along was better than Schwartz, is showing a good leg for FG's, the returners are good, and the coverage is good. Special teams and defense have been amazing and the only thing keeping us from being the worst team in all of FBS football.

The punt return team didn't really look that special (apart from the lack of turnovers).  Was West Virginia purposefully kicking high and short not allowing a return because they knew a return for TD was more likely than our offense putting points on the board with decent field position?

I'm really pleased with these two units. Both are playing mistake free for the most part. The defense limited big plays most of the night and aside from the first scoring drive by WVU we held then in check for most of the game. We have a lot of young guys on both of these units which means hopefully they will be better the more experience they get. Once we get an offense that can sustain drives and is clicking we will be a BE power. I just don't see it this year with the offense. With Darrell Scott and Aycock coming in next year along with Boyd, who I'm guessing will be at WR, we will have more weapons and hopefully we can become more of a power running attack with a stout defense.
