Lovie hasnt paid his dues yet? He has coached for 20 years. Marino has never run anything but an offense, DelRio has coached 6 years, Mularkey has coached 10 years.  I think if Lovie was white he would have already been a head coach.

lovie assessment of his dues by KR is right but i don't think lovie distinguished himself through his defenses

i also think there are better DC's than lovie smith

lovie is some strange name
