The 14-16 team expansion model only helps the Big Ten because they are trying to add value to the BTN. The SEC has no need for this, their contract is what it is, big yes, but no new teams would create a larger pot of money.

You are a lawyer, you understand contracts. The SEC has a contract till 2023. Why would they bring in more teams to split that money more ways? Even if they got Texas & Texas A&M, they would have to renegotiate with ESPN, hope the new contract adds over $33 per season just to stay on pace with their present contract.. They are already getting $200 million a season, that is $16 million per team. I do not think the SEC will bother, it is too much trouble and they already have a great situation. Why bring in more people to cause more problems?
