We play in a BCS conference with a shot at playing for a National Title.  Why would a top recruit want to come play for a coach that can't win his own conference because he has a below .500 mark in conference play.  Leavitt always finds a way to win 1 or 2 big games a year.  He has never been able to keep a team focused long enough to produce the entire year.  We've been saying this for quite some time now, he's gotten us to this point but he can't get us to the next level.    In my opinion the bigger embarrassment last night wasn't the score but the fact that we have now lost 3 years in a row to Rutgers and Cincy.  That is pathetic.

a top recruit would never come to usf

1.leavitt's coaching style is a turn off

2.the offensive scheme usf runs is boring

3.the coaching staff is not up to snuff and cant compete week in and week out with  better conference foes

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
