Since I was working during the game, I DVR'd the game and watched it this morning.

The Good

- Beat the hillbillies and saved the couches.

- Stopped the mid season slide.

- Defense, especially containing Devine.

- Big plays on offense.

- BJ Daniels playing in his comfort zone. It didn't look like he was thinking, just doing.

- Using the Schwartz. 3/3 on FGs. 3/3 on PATs.

The Bad

- Receivers still dropping passes. Need some sticky glue for their hands.

- Daniels making some bad decisions, luckily they didn't hurt us.

- Not as bad as the last two games, but still some stupid plays (i.e. faircatch block leading to safety).

The Ugly

- Big East Refs/Replay.  Two blown replays. I know one helped us and the other was a technicality, but get it right. Mitchell's TD was clear as day. This "well we don't know what would have happened after the whistle blew", is crap. Mitchell played through and there was no one left to tackle him, hence it was a TD.

There were many. . . . . but here is one of each.

Good

We beat a solid WVU team with a bunch of RS Freshmen and True Freshmen taking serious reps (BJ, Kayvon, Popek, Barrington, Griffin). . . . . . . . this team might just be getting started.

Bad

We have to become a more productive offense on 1st down (though we improved greatly when Plancher got going at the end).  I have noticed since BJ took over we have entirely too many negative yard plays on 1st down (creating too many 3 and outs). . . . . . . 1st down play calling rests with Canales.

Ugly

Special teams burning through our timeouts is a sure sign that we don't rep the unit enough in practice and that we, in fact, need a solid ST coach.
