As alums and new fans of this football team, we've been really spoiled by our meteoric rise in our first 11 years. The big wins, the rankings, large crowds...we've made it look easy up until now...and we took for granted that we would only get better and better and never take a step back. (Most weren't around for the losing years in '97 or '04) Well...we're finally experiencing what it feels like to be mediocre in big-time football. Frankly...it looks and feels terrible. For some teams...it lasts decades..and for others, it's a temporary setback.

I know alot of folks have already jumped off the wagon...I don't blame them because this year has been tough so far and it's not even close to being over. However, I think ALL of us  still believe that this program is destined to be great... it's just going to be harder and take longer than we'd convinced ourselves. The toughest thing in football is to be consistently great every game...and we've obviously got a long way to go to get to that point. Hope that CJL rights the ship and gets this team back on an upward swing...
