GS collapsed in st pete tonight.  He is doing ok and is being held overnight for observation.

I saw this on Bay News 9 and don't have any article on it yet.

(Sarasota, Florida-AP) -- New York Yankees owner George Steinbrenner is hospitalized in Sarasota, Florida, after collapsing in Florida at a memorial service for football great Otto Graham.

A Sarasota County Fire Department spokesman says the 73-year-old Steinbrenner was taken by ambulance to the hospital after fainting. The spokesman says Steibrenner was alert and oriented by the time rescue workers arrived.

The official tells The Associated Press Steinbrenner was very talkative in the ambulance and that now he's doing fine.

He says Steinbrenner was given oxygen, an electrocardiogram and intravenous fluids in the ambulance.

Hospital officials have not commented, citing patient confidentiality.

A Yankees spokesman says the team has no information yet, and team president Randy Levine had no immediate comment.

He may be the owner of the team i hate the most, but he is a bulls supporter, so he must be a good guy.

I loathe the Yanks and the Bulls but do have respect for George. He wants to win at all costs and I support any owner with that iniative.  I wish he would go to the NL but I do hope he is alright. I cant imagine a baseball season without the Evilist one of all.
