I must say, the are making a strong push.  Good moves, Tejada was the league MVP 2 years ago so why not go for it.  I know 23 mill is alot but they got the cash to blow.  They'll get guerrero too.

I gotta agree with steve on this one.  Tejada is a good player but proved last year he cant do it alone and some weaknesses were realy exposed. I see a high priced Tony Batista.  They way overpaid for the guy this year.  Javy Lopez was the man this year. Surprise surprise he has one hell of a year in his contract year. I would be surprised if he had over 20 hrs and over 75 rbi this year. He is a big time bust just waiting.  He was terrible for Atlanta the last couple of seasons before this one.  Vlad will probably also go to Balt as everyone else is scared by a 28 yera older that is going to make over 13 million a year long term and he already has a bad back. I love Vlad but a bad back at age 28 would scare the hell out of me if I were paying a gaurenteed 100 million plus.  I say Tampa passes Baltimore in the standings this year.
