The new book Patriot Reigns came out last week and is a book about Bill Belicheck and Pats over last couple of seasons. The writer is a writer for Boston Herald and stayed with team for two years and went and did everything Bill did. There is a part in the book where Belicheck was really upset with the way te tea played following their first super bowl win. He really rips Kenyatta.  Bill would get all the coaches together after the season and evealuate everything about every player on the team and see if the guy is still a good fit for Pats. Of all the guys Kenyatta jumped out the most.  He had made 23 mental errors(highest number on team) in 661 plays.  His blocks graded out at 72% which was lowest on the team. His position coach was Dante Scarnecchia who is one of most respected coaches in the game. Dante had reported that Jones had poor practice habits, was late off the ball, and had questionable mental toughness. "There were days when that guy would come out to practice and you knew he ain't going to F'ing work" Scarnecchia said.  He said that Jones effort in Miami in October "was one of the worst ten-play stretches of any tackle in the league" Belicheck agreed. "He killed us that day. There are stretches when he is just brutal."   The only positive thing they could say about him was that he was young-24 years old- and that he enjoyed facing good players.  "He is your typical coach killer," OC Charlie Weis said. "Most of his teamates have no confidence in him. All of the offensive linemen know he can't be counted on, and the QB's know it as well."  They were still not done with him. Scarnecchia reasoned that Jones may have a self image problem. "Not to get to F'ing psychological here." He then questioned his own coaching, wondering if he should show restraint and not ride Jones so much. "But" he concluded "that would be very hard"

This book is awesome and has some harsh realities and many will have feelings hurt after reading it.  VG you got to buy it.

“This is not a broken football program by any means. It just needs to be united, to get everybody on the same page, share that same vision, and really to have that standard - best is the standard.”
