Losing starters?  LOL.  You guys read some blogs/posts from websites and think we lost 7 of 11 on our defense?

Sorry Bulls, but last year WVU was so deep on Defense, (Ranked 4th Overall D), that we played 17 players in every game on D.  15 of the 17 had more than 300 plays logged on the field.

Seeing as a normal team runs around 50 plays against us in each game, that basically breaks down to half the season of playing time for 15 of the 17 returning this year.

Linebackers will be 100% Elite, with 4 having played significantly last year or started.

Defensive Line will be 100% Elite, with 2 of the 3 starters having played significantly last year at WVU and the other coming out of JUCO as a 2 year starter.

Secondary will be around 80% Elite, with 1 returning full time starter, 3 returning with significant playtime, 1 just committed and elligible JUCO 3 year starter, and a Freshman FS that is 6'6" and runs a 4.3 forty, already made 8 picks in 2 weeks of practice.... "Spiderman Sands", they call him... shooting webs out and grabing anything near him or a WR.

I think this years WVU defense will be better than last year, even more speed, experience and talent.

8 INTs in two weeks?

Glad to see Mr. White is throwing more this season!!!!

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
