A deal that would have sent Jason Bay to the Braves for four minor league prospects was reportedly nixed by Pirates owners.

MLB.com Braves beat reporter Mark Bowman suggests the deal would have included Brent Lillibridge, Brandon Jones, a Class A pitcher and one more positional player. Bay is owed $7.5 million during the final year of his contract next season."

another name that might be a player the rays get is Juan Rivera from the Angels.  He is a solid RF (stuck behind Vlad)  and he can hit LHP well.  plus maddon is familiar with him and the Angels wouldnt ask a whole lot for him.
