Domonick Britt?

I happened to be looking at Scout and noticed that we supposedly offered QB Domonick Britt. Perhaps, I had overlooked that previously.

Here is an article from back in October mentioning  Britt and USF:

In addition, there is an intriguing development with Britt, considered the state’s top quarterback recruit by Ohio High Magazine. Despite the commitment to UC, Britt has had contact with fellow Big East school South Florida. Britt, who will take the ACT this weekend, is considering taking an official visit to South Florida in the future.

“He has not changed his mind as of yet,†Trotwood coach Maurice Douglass said. “He’s committed to UC, but he may take an official visit to South Florida. Coach (Jim) Leavitt saw film on Domonick and liked it a lot. He had his offensive coordinator contact Domonick that day wanting him to take an official visit. UC’s been in contact on a weekly basis – as much as their allotted to do, but I think Domonick just wants to see what’s down there.â€Â

Rivals ranks him #18 Dual Threat QB, but does not list USF as one of his favorites.

Does anybody know if we are still involved with recruiting him?

If he has not visited then probably not.  He may be a fallback, but doubt that considering he is out-of-state and that if we get O.Johnson or Daniels he is not necessary.

It just seemed odd that I saw his name in connection with USF for the first time on Scout and he evidently just received a passing SAT score.

Here's the latest. Britt has dropped his committment to Cincy and is now considering USF, among others.  He may just be a fall back but not a bad idea since BJ might go to Michigan and OJ may go to Ohio State.

I saw film on this kid on the Mich. board, suppose to be best in Ohio, looks like one of the best in USA 6'3-210 would be great get  for us, go get him Jim. Film is on Mich. board
