Sun Sentinel Recruiting Update

Great to see USF getting some pub down here in South Florida. Here is the text..

Bulls hotline

South Florida continued its impressive recruiting in the southern part of the state by landing Palm Beach Central offensive lineman Danous Estenar (6-4, 345 pounds).

The Bulls also received a verbal commitment from Atlantic defensive back John Lejiste, a 6-foot, 178-pounder who had an impressive camp in Tampa last summer.

Offensive lineman Jarien Moreland (6-4, 320), who had a tremendous spring game against Miami Northwestern defensive standout Marcus Fortson, originally committed to Auburn but backed out and made some more visits. Moreland appears headed to Central Florida, which is a tremendous fit for both. He had been offered by Hawaii, FIU and Pittsburgh.

In Pahokee

While many recruiters considered Pahokee's Martavious Odoms (5-8, 171) too small to play offense, others have changed after watching the speed receiver put on a show in the 2B state championship game. Now, Miami, Auburn, Iowa, Notre Dame, Rutgers and Tennessee have made a final push.

Odoms' teammate, Jatavious Miller (5-11, 190), also is receiving plenty of interest as we head toward National Signing Day on Feb. 6. The impressive inside linebacker has Clemson, UCF, West Virginia and Rutgers making a push.

Palm Beach Central running back David Ahola (5-8, 175) has an Air Force offer but also is being looked at by Wisconsin, Vanderbilt, Louisville and North Carolina State.
