of course... but i'm nervous with Lowe pitching...he's been good lately but he has a blister...  that could be very bad.

best part of the night, other than the big win, ...

Kevin Youkilis, our backup rookie 3rd baseman, was wired for sound during the game.

Johnny Damon up, 3-1 count, Youk predicts a home run for damon on the next pitch off Pesky's Pole, and guess what... That EXACT thing happens.

What are the odds of that!

"Right here, 3-1, off pesky pole... pesky pole, 3 run yakka," crack of the bat, "I got it WOOOOHOOO, I got it.  Hahaha, oh my god... Yesss... hhaha"  - Kevin Youkilis

Red Sox dominate Yanks.  This is the start of something BIG for Boston!  I can feel it.  It has the makings of the whole "Cowboy Up!" phenomenon of last year.

Varitek is the bomb.  I mean, just the bomb.  I love that guy.  Not in a gay way, but I love him.

Varitek is an Orlando boy too. I also love the guy and pray we resign him.  I have a ton of autographs from this guy as one of my best friends played youth ball with him and their team actually went to Moscow and played the russians.  Also Variteks brother is real good friends with one of my best buddies and hangs at a sports bar in Daytona watching JV play a lot.

He is the definition of a dirt dog.  I know that's Trot's nickname, but Varitek epitomizes it.  Even if he IS from Orlando.   ;D  He's just so friggin scrappy, it's amazing.

I love how A-Rod was yapping, and Varitek just busted him in the chops.  Take that, pretty boy.  Friggin awesome.

hell yeah...  Arod towers over him too... he's the emotional leader on the Sox for sure.  Sign him for next year, sign him now!

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

    Terry Lucas, 09/26/22
