I seem to remember a delay during the game in that one of the play clocks and the coaches head set stopped working. I was thinking that may have had the effect on the game. This happened in our bowl game against ECU in where we had to use hand signals from the sideline because we couldnt use communication via headsets.

The playclock was messed up several times...I don't recall hearing anything about broken headsets

This is NOT an excuse, but those long delays between downs can really kill a team's rythm. I wonder how things would have been different if these hadn't occured so often yesterday.

At one point Wally Burnham's headset was switched...it was very early in the game.
