Anything of the sort going on down our way? I'd like to think that those who would buy the tickets are already aware, but who knows, there could be some alum under a rock in Tampa who realizes he'll be in AL visiting family for the holidays anyway and ought to go buy a ticket. At the very least, some sort of ad campaign could be launched after the win, just as an awareness that USF football exists and WINS. I'd love for there to be a "Tampa congratulates our USF Bulls on their bowl victory" or something of the sort!

It's expensive to advertise, and the market (casual fans who happen to be going to Birmingham for Christmas) isn't large enough.Currently Wake has only sold about 10-12,000 of their BCS allotment, they will have to eat the cost of 5,000 tickets at 135 a pop if they don't get them sold. Thats about 675,000. They don't have a very big athletic budget. Not to mention the blackeye of joining Pitt as the only other team not to sell out their allotment to the BCS bowls. (Suprisingly Miami has sold out theirs, mostly because other schools end up buying from their allotment). It's not very common for a school to have radio ads to go to a bowl game unless it's a promotion to win tix or something similar. Something to the degree of an awareness type thing after we bring back a trophy would be cool though.
