Collegiate wrestling is definitely not fake.  My brother did it while he was in college until his back went out.  The "professional" wrestling such as WWF etc. is baloney.  However, you still need to be an athlete in order to handle the spills, falls, slams, etc.

Does the word alumnus assume that the person graduated from that school?

Terry Bollea did not graduate from USF.

He is a former student though.
