I have heard that Gransberry is a good rebounder which is going to be needed in the BIG EAST. We need that Ben Wallace type of player that I hope Gransberry can do. Robert McCullum had great things to say about him being a rebound specialist for his team.  I know Jesus has to be good. Seth wanted him bad when he was the coach, now we get him to tranfer from a big time program in Arizona. I think it is a good thing that the BIG EAST should not be as strong as it was last season since the conference lost many great players to the Draft and graduation. This could be the year that USF makes a suprise showing. ****, now I am starting to get excited which is what I promised myself not to do. ****, the bad luck!!!!

Velcro,

Yeah but those players they did lose to grad were pretty good. Diaz and the other guy(cant recall his name) were good players.  I think Buffalo is not that bad of a team though. Buffalo has to be better than Jacksonville, North Florida, and those other cupcakes games that UF has played this season.  I am going to contain myself about getting excited about hoops this season because it seems to jinx the team everytime that I get my hopes up. I will still watch and root for the team, I am just not going to let it take my emotions too high like in the years past. The goal for me is to have USF make the BIG EAST tourny. Anything less than that is grounds for a new coach in my opinion.

FYI... Miami lost again tonight.

Saw Lousiville play against NorthEastern State on Saturday. They looked average at best. They didnt get the lead til like 7 or 8 left in the game. After that point NESTATE got rattled and started turning it over every posession.

If we can keep this consistant play we should win 5-7 BE games.

The other guy was Robert Hite. They are a lot stringer in the front court this year, and they'll definitely make some noise this season in the ACC. Not win the conference, but they'll pull of some upsets. Their only problem is they don't have a true 2 guard. They run 2 point guards, so the outside shooting will hurt them this year.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

"I wish you guys could be in the locker room and be on the practice field because it is so much different from what it has been in the past."
