Guest BullsBlitz
It all depends on the lawyers - if Boston College can get out of the Big East next season instead of the season after, and if the lawyers for the CUSA schools moving East can negotiate exit fees and all that other legal crapola, it could happen next year. All parties want to move on as quickly as possible, but all the conferences want to get paid and none of the schools want to pay.Best guess here is that it'll get sorted out in time to make the football skeds

One of the posts I read about the C-USA expansion was how thrilled Bannowsky is to have a football championship game. Well, they can't have it in 2004 unless they let the exiting teams leave and the new ones join. And it doesn't unduly hurt anyone else to do so.The Big East has clearly stated that they will not invite the new teams early, but they will "consider it" if C-USA gives the okay. So hopefully their short-sightedness will be to our benefit.
