Don't know if you can get him but there is one DEF. LINE coach I can think of that would greatly upgrade that position.  Greg Mark.

Ex U of Miami D/L coach from 1992 till last Oct..  Was all american D.E. On 1987 Championship team.  Coached Warren Sapp, O. Harris, and many whose names I just can not remember right now.

that is for sure

i have coached for over 20 years pee wee-high school but i am have been  trial lawyer for 25 years.

i am at top of my profession right now so i need to concentrate right now on work(for next year or so)

i might go back into coaching again later on down the road

leavitt does not know the game better than me but he certainly knows where the talent is in florida better than me though he cant get it

We had coaches at my high school with better credentials than anyone at USF.

Which two coaches at your high school had better credentials than Burnham?

-----------

Burnham has nine years with Bobby Bowden at Florida State and five years as an assistant head coach and defensive coordinator at South Carolina.  In all, Burnham brings 37 years of coaching experience (including 33 at the college or pro level) to the table. Burnham, who coached nine linebackers at Florida State who were drafted into the NFL and a 10th player who signed as a free agent. Among his standout linebackers at FSU were Derrick Brooks, Marvin Jones, Paul McGowan, Jesse Solomon and Garth Jax. Jones and McGowan each won the Butkus Award and Jones added the Lombardi Award.  Burnham began playing collegiately for Bear Bryant at Alabama during the 1960 and 1961 seasons.  He also has a master's degree in Athletic Administration from West Alabama.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
