According to the Steve "Big Dog" Deumig on his afternoon show today, CJL does the best Lou Holtz impersonation based on how CJL always hypes up the Bulls oppenents and that CJL is not overlooking the Bearcats.  I found it very funny and true, but thats just another reason to love CJL.

That's a funny analogy.  I'm sure everybody remembers Lou doing that throughout his career.....and it does fit perfectly with our own CJL's pre-game speeches to the press.

Joe Paterno does the same thing...

It's called class.  He may believe or even know that our opponents are not that good... but he will never say so publicly.  Why give them motivation??

Besides that -- it is theoretically possible that FIU could beat Southern Cal... injuries, turnovers, lack of concentration could hurt a dominant team that is not ready for a lesser opponent... If the lesser opponent can remain focused and control their emotions... it's called the "Any Given Saturday" theory... rarely happens, but you never know...

So CJL forces his team to concentrate on the game at hand... showing how they could beat us because of this or that...

I prefer a coach like this...

I didnt hear Duemig this morning but I heard Dan Sileo really talking us up this morning.  He was very high on the Bulls and called far every Bull fan to show up to Cincy and WVA in force.
