Looks like Virginia Tech got left out of the NIT. They took West Virginia instead - WV had a higher RPI but VT beat them twice and they had the same record in BE games. Looks like ODU and ECU losses hurt.

Probably not, but they did beat WVU twice. A high-major who loses to ECU and ODU doesn't deserve to go in any case.
