I heard that before the season, but it didn't happen...

they might stay "so close" for a long time.  but if "so close" = 5th in the AL East (when the AL East may be as weak as it has ever been at the moment), they better pray to move to the NL East or some other division.

They really are forming a good nucleus of younger players. I just hope they DON'T go out in the off-season and make a ton of moves but some more consistent arms are definitely needed...

Well, I had a great time.  It was Greek Heritage day so I had to go.  They did the lineups in Greek and had some dancing and stuff.  So, it was lots of fun.  We actually had 10 people come from Orlando.  My daughter loved the game.  We were only about 15 ft from the Huff HR.

Actually a funny story about the HR.  One of the guys in our section was standing above the steps that go down to the fodd area below when Aubrey hit the ball.  So, as it is coming to him, he stumbles trying to catch the ball and falls down the steps!  That is quite a drop.  He apparently gets the ball then proceeds to hurl everything he ate just moments before.  I didn't see the hurling part but that is what I was told.  I actually thought that guy was going to be seriously hurt but he apparently came out OK.  Thankfully.

That stadium stinks BTW.  It's not really THAT bad but it could have been a ton better.  A retractable roof is needed because there are some occasions where opening the roof would be cool.  But most summer days would be awful out in the heat.  For those that have kids, they let the kids run the bases after the Sunday Home games.  My daughter and all her cousins enjoyed the heck out of that.

It was fun and I'm glad I went.  And seeing Vlad Guerrero was cool too.
