I think North Carolina has become a more popular destination for transplants from the Northeast, while South Carolina has maintained more of its "southern" culture, for lack of a better term... obviously plenty of Yanks visit Myrtle etc for vacation but I don't think SC has gotten quite the influx of actual ppl relocating as NC has. changing cultures.
