So here we are in August... weeks away from another USF football season... and for the first time ever.

I don't know if I care.

So long Jim, thanks for all the fish.:guinness:

I still am excited for USF football but nothing compares to the excitement I had during peak years of our Big East run. Rivals were better and we had a shot in the BCS.

Also it’s not a mistake to know that CJL was bigger than the program just look at what what he grew and the shambles it was turned into in his absence.

No coach is bigger than the program .... okay, maybe Kiffin at FAU. All football programs go thru slumps but because we really hadn't yet, a spoiled portion of our fanbase thought the world was coming to an end after 2012. I think we've recovered nicely ..... CJL should hold a special place in the hearts of USF all football fans but he was never bigger then the program

It's called growing up and life's priorities Jim.  Your thrills now come from different places.

Go Bulls!

If the thrill wasn't gone after 2013, there's really no logical, football reason for it to be gone now. Life's priorities change .....

One result of the thread is a 12+ page platform for puc to continue his preaching. I kind of thought it might be a perfect way to get it all out of his system .................. silly me.

Self-induced slump.  Unnecessary slump.  Greed, egos, control...

If by self-induced and unnecessary, you mean altering the recruiting criteria for Skip, I'd tend to agree ....

How did you bite on this and not the part about Harlan and CWT that was handpicked to bait you?

With the climate going on in NCAA athletics, you’re either moving forward at a hard pace or you’re not. I think what intrigued me the most is they’re very determined to become a big player nationally.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
