After Kendall's tying basket, U.S. guard Marcus Williams missed a potential game-winning three with 4 seconds left. Rondo finished with 12 points, four rebounds, two assists and one steal.The United States (5-1) will play today in the fifth-place game against Puerto Rico, an unexpected 88-63 loser to Greece in the quarterfinals played right after the Americans' loss. Canada will face Greece today in the semifinals.World University GamesMike Gansey of West Virginia led six players in double figures with 13 points, but Patrick Sparks wasn't one of them as the World University Games kicked off yesterday in Turkey.The U.S. team thumped Iran 94-47 to open preliminary play.Sparks scored three points on 1-for-8 shooting.
