I missed the game because of work as well, but saw the highlights, didnt see any bean balls.  Pedro apparently pitched very good, but the bullpen blew it for the Mets.

I heard he pitched well, and the bullpen didn't blow it, but the defense did.  3 errors on 3 straight plays on routine ground balls allowed 3 unearned runs to lose 4-3.

I didn't hear about any beaning either.

The errors were, in order of occurance, by the third baseman, shortstop (trying to be slick instead of getting the sure out first), and then the first baseman (Doug Mienkeweicz, of all people).
