what if......since the Marlins gov't-funded stadium wasnt on the budget....the D-Rays were contracted and everything affiliated with the Marlins (owner, players etc.) moved to Tampa. I honestly have to say that if the Rays owners were not there they would have better players and i turn would draw much better. What do you all think?

If it were the Tampa Marlins I think people would definitely go to watch that team. People in Tampa have showed they will show up to watch a great team and that team is awesome and exciting. The D-rays are boring, the owner is a putz and you know the team is going nowhere

Marlins have great pitching which is winning them more games. If that's your criteria for "awesome and exciting" compared to "boring", then I guess you're right ....

Defense, speed, some power, great power pitching. That is great exciting baseball in my book. Miguel Cabrera is probably one of top 5 young power hitters in the game.  Carlos Delgado, Mike Lowell have huge power. Not sure what you look for in exciting baseball but very few teams have what the Marlins have.

Lowell?? I think at least 3 DRays are having close to or better years than him ........ and it's hard for any baseball to be "exciting" at all for me.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

"I wish you guys could be in the locker room and be on the practice field because it is so much different from what it has been in the past."
