    Just moved to TX from Duluth, went to that PT in L'ville as much as I could...sigh. Anyway sorry didn't mean to. @usfvictor- I want to live where you do, if PT is low man on the totem.

    Ought to be an interesting camp. Floyd & Eveld have the game experience, but that stuff definitely sounds good about Bench. Hope he shines, just want to see one of those guys become the clear choice so we can stop our worrying. ...as if that's going to happen for another month.

    Yep, I like CWT's balance, too. Course, it's easy to find stuff to like about the guy before his first game. I just hope I like him as much in December!! Good pic.

    Great article, makes me want to hear more out of Mathies--the guy shoots straight, and ya gotta love the guy that says it like it is. That means he's not pumping them full of sunshine and rainbows, but looking to actually develop them into smash-mouth bruisers and telling the "other" guys to get with it! Well, at least let's hope so, I miss the old days of JPP doing backflips after a great sack!

    This is more than a month old, sorry if it's a repost but didn't see it in here. Good read on BJ "so far", but sounds like their jury is still out until we get to preseason.     Love those random sightings, way to take advantage! Nice touch with the crayon signature. Kid got lashed for his performance, hope for his sake it's all a part of growing up and he can look back & laugh some day (because he blows up). He wasn't ready...but he has a lot of potential, would love to see him turn it around!

    He's not the only guy working with the O-line, and he might just help them understand how the D reacts to them. Lanaris was always a good thinker on the field, I remember him being near the ball a lot. Maybe not making the tackle, but I'm sure he understands the game from both sides of the ball. Better to have a former player in there than some dork who never stepped into a game (statistician, etc).

    I'm sure he's just glad to have another opportunity to get on the field. Get 'em, George. I'd actually go see a Cowboys game to get to see him play...but that's a stretch. Thanks for the update!

    One-stop-shop until the games begin--love it. Coach takes good/bad until they actually put a product on the field, just play football and shut up!

    Really!? They were only an afterthought to the AQ conferences until they started winning under Petersen, and the thought of them being nationally televised was just silly...I mean, why? Forgive me, but Boise isn't in a power conference are they?? So.... So...it's the CONSIDERATION for a P5 spot that we're discussing, and winning is the only compensation for a lack of history. It's the only way BSU or USF will get a look in the current system. And they at least were considered (although P12 & B12 rejected pretty quickly)...we weren't, and in overall athletics & viewing audience we have more potential!

    Sadly, I know you're actually serious. Pay the players & let them use all the drugs they want. Sounds great if you want to have your school rep'd by some 'roided up clowns that couldn't pass the 3rd grade with a tutor. Why not just open up a con-league and let 'em play no-rules? The guys in your league will just end up there anyway, if they make it out alive that is.

    I can for a while...as long as we're in the top 2-3 in the conference. It's fun to beat FSU/Miami, but I'm weary of the losing record in our conference. Just no reason we can't rise.

    Maybe, but I'd take it a step further, even. I'm waiting for the first conference game. I just don't want to make assumptions like I did when we beat ND, only to be deflated as we entered conference play. Sparty should own us, I just hope we look competent. Excited to see it all start, cautious until I see how our strategy lines up against AAC teams.

    I get it, trust me--I'm too loyal sometimes. But it stretched every fiber of my loyalty to watch us do the same dumb things every week, to the point I almost dreaded the coming of Saturday during the season, and don't even mention a Thurs night game. I don't want anyone gone yet (that's insane), but I don't want to go back to that depression anymore if we start falling into that pattern again! I just want to see the Bulls start growing again week to week, year to year--I think that's where slick was trying to go with the topic...I think. But agree, let's re-evaluate after a few games. Looks like we're all on pins & needles, ready for this thing to begin! Still more than a month...sigh.

    A couple of reasonable Knight fans, that's awesome to see! I hope USF will be able to upgrade to their own facilities before long. That's one area I think UCF kills us. I mean, it's nice playing in RJS and all, but it's nicer to be able to get in the college atmosphere and actually be ON campus. Nice facilities, and looks like a good plan there. USF has plenty of real estate, guess we just lack the fundraising (esp after LRS left us).

    Man, what a lot of entertainment we're getting out of a simple topic. I understand wanting to defend the choice. It's easy to talk about how invalid the thought is now, but how many of us are going to be jumping to this guy's defense if we put a turd on the field for D, and it doesn't change week-to-week? It's all just hypothetical, let's get to football season already!!
