  1. Looks like he is gaining weight. Lots of quality restaurants in that area! He no longer has to be a workaholic for his team.
  2. I think what many here fail to understand (or refuse to admit) is what an incredible overachiever CJL was with the Bulls program. Conversely, Holtz is an incredible underachiever.
  3. I'm very skeptical of that. He turned down Find Another University (FAU) when they called last year. If Leavitt chooses not to stay in the NFL he will have several offers over time. I believe Leavitt is Bill Snyder's 1st choice for his replacement at K-State, but I'm not so sure Leavitt would even take that job. I mean, who wants to live in Manhattan, KS?
  4. Killed Bulls football?? Yall are on the hyper-dramatic high horses today... No, the fact is Skip has taken the Bulls to the next level...down.
  5. Yes, I miss this guy... http://www.49ers.com/media-gallery/videos/Press-Pass-Jim-Leavitt/e0358672-6699-435f-badd-b88d263d67fb
  6. Lie? What lie? Do u have to go around ruining every thread with this stuff? We are actually USF fans and would like to discuss current USF related topics. So if another USF fan has a different viewpoint, you brand them a non-fan? what was your previous user name? You ONLY comment about CJL... just like you did before during the incident. You ONLY come on this board after we struggle to comment on CJL. ^^^ Paranoia ^^^
  7. Lie? What lie? Please, not this again... we used to have an entire board dedicated to this. Read the public letter Judy sent to Coach Leavit indicating the reason for his termination. In the mind of USF administration, it had more to do wtih a lack of openess and honesty with the investigation. Of course Leavitt supporters think we just wanted a cheap way to move forward with a better/different coach. Either way, water under the bridge. Those who ignore history are doomed to repeat their mistakes.

  9. No, it was much ado about nothing. You had a reporter with an agenda and an axe to grind mixed with some entitled players angry about their lack of playing time. Woolard just seized upon the opportunity and hired USF's chief hatchet man, Gonzales to orchestrate the ambush.
  10. I think it's pretty obvious Doug Woolard is incapable of getting the program to the next level. Are you talking about the football program? That's not Woolard's job. His job is to hire a coach to take the program to the next level. Giving Skip an extension was a mistake, but what else has Doug done wrong? His successes out-weigh his failures. What are his successes and how are they weighted compared to the football program? Without a good football program producing revenue for non-revenue sports where is all of athletics? As to your question of what has Doug done wrong...He killed the goose that laid the golden egg and hired a coach that lays an egg. There was a lot of support for giving Leavitt the boot, even before slapgate. Can you give reasons for firing Woolard other than Skip not performing the way he should? "A lot of support?" Really? From whom? How many? Would you say there is more support for firing Skip right now than there was CJL before or after the Slapgate Ambush? Woolard should be fired for his lack of integrity and judgement as well as his inexperience and mismanagement of the football program.
  11. Woolard can't fire Skip because it would be an admission he made a big mistake, first by ambushing CJL and then hiring Skip. His ego caused him to believe he could find a better and more dedicated football coach for USF than CJL. It was the one move that will define his entire (hopefully short) tenure at USF. Judy can't fire Woolard because she was complicit with Woolard in the CJL Ambush. The best way to kill a snake is to cut its head off.

  13. I remember you, too. You are all about firing people, aren't you? You were the biggest duck in the fire CJL puddle and look where that got the Bulls. Dude, did you write ppls names down? I have a gift for remembering really stupid people.

  16. Dude...I remember you when CJL was fired. You certainly like firing coaches. Do you have anything else to offer?
  17. "One flap of a seagull's wings would be enough to alter the course of weather forever."
  18. interesting post but I would like to correct just one thing-- USF never had to play in pastures. They simply used the existing intramural fields we've had for decades before. I know-- minor point but you make it sound like we were dirt farmers or something Made me want to sing a negro spiritual... Masta got me workin.... Workin in da fields.... Ha, ha, maybe I went a little overboard, but my point was Leavitt didn't have the nice new practice fields we now have to either recruit to, or practice on. Maybe they weren't "pastures", but were a definite step down from what we have now. Brian Kelly didn't have a practice field, but that didn't stop him from winning The BE, or losing to Jim leavitt! Brian Kelly inherited a ready-made bowl bound team.
  19. Just get a kid to accuse Skip of pinching him on the butt, hire Gonzales to do an "investigation" [wink, wink, nudge, nudge] and then fire him for cause and we won't have to pay his buyout. Doug Woolard is very experienced at this.
  20. Back in the Good Old Days...CJL didn't have enough jock straps to go around, so...well...you probably don't want to know.
  21. Back in the Good Old Days...CJL would go into a recruits living room and close the deal with inspirational pearls like... "Son, I want you to come to South Florida and play football for me. But first we're gonna practice for two years before we play our first game."
  22. CJL didn't have any fancy meeting rooms, he just had a tree. And he was **** glad to have it!
