  1. What was his bowl games record? Hmmm? 1-2 ... but the 1 win was more impressive than any of our 3. I believe it was 1-3 with a loss to the Bulls and CJL.
  2. What was his bowl games record? Hmmm? That didn't seem to keep ALL of us from being happier than pigs in poop when he was hired. A "ALL" of us? Many of "US" were not as easily fooled by a name. "Us" is right ... there's no way in Hell you're NOT Mizzou. How do you figure?
  3. Let me give you a brief outline on what he is going to say... It's going to be a close game because it's Florida Kids vs Florida Kids. 2009 was a great win, especially since BJ had only one week to prepare after Matt went down. Been in Youngstown, OH all week preparing for the Jets...Just focused on beating the Jets. Amazing talent in the NFL and really enjoy working with players that are always looking to get better. Really appreciate working with Jim Harbaugh and the rest of the coaching staff that has been in the NFL before. If I ever go back as a HC in college this has been a great learning experience.
  4. The BM's moved on to bigger and better stuff ... like breaking news about conference re-alignment 15 minutes before the press conference announcing same. You used BM and moved in the same sentence.

  6. I can give you the images if you PM me, but b/c the logo is copyrighted, I can't send it to a printer. PM me anyway. I'll try to get back in the next couple days with options. Same for anyone else. You can't copyright an image of Jim Leavitt.
  7. [wipes tears from eyes] CJL and USF captured lightning in a bottle.
  8. Looking up from where the team is now mediocre looks good. Being a good team like they were under Leavitt looks great.
  9. 25-26 with Conference USA talent. Anyone who thinks you can go from zero and nothing in a few short years then suddenly dominate a Div. 1 conference is simply delusional. tell that to cincy and louisville Cincy started playing football in 1885. Played in major bowls as far back as the 40's. Louisville started playing football in 1912, Played in major bowls as far back as the 50's and were on a 7 year bowl run and had a 20-5 record the previous 2 years before joining the Big East. I hardly call that even remotely an apple to apples comparison. The voice of reason cincy and loiusville played fb many years b4 usf cincy went 6-5 and 5-7 the two years before joining big east including a loss to USF. not sure what 1885 has to do with a programs current success. thanks for the history lesson though.I suppose harvard would be considered one of the best programs today because they are also one of the oldest. with that reasoning we will never compete because we will never be older than those other programs. failed logic. Honestly, I haven't been following this argument, but, Cincy's rise started with a pretty good coach, he flipped them around almost immediately. Won with multiple QB's, fired a defensive coordinator that was pretty good, just not good enough. Not sure if that point has any place here, I'm just sayin... Anyone that thinks a university can start a football program from nothing...and I mean nothing...and immediately go on to dominate a Div I conference within their first 10 or 12 years is simply deslusional. What Leavitt did had successful football coaches like Jim Harbaugh in awe. When Harbaugh and Leavitt first met at a dinner set up by his father, Jack Harbaugh, Jim Harbaugh asked Jim Leavitt, "How did you do that?" ... I'm on your side there... I was talking about our current coach. I think what Leavitt did, with very little money and zero brand recognition is absolutely remarkable. Sadly, what he spent 13 years building, Skippy is tearing apart at a rapid pace. And Woolard is his co-conspirator. The damage has been done and I firmly believe there is no going back to where the Bulls were no matter who the coach is. USF will be on every school's wish list as their Homecoming date.

  12. If we'd known ten years ago today would be ten years from now, would we spend tomorrow's yesterdays and make it last somehow? Or lead the cheers in someone else's game and never learn to play?
  13. Leavitt had WVU's number and BJ played the game of his life in front of his hometown.
  14. She has a 305 area code so she is obviously a Miami fan.
  15. Wait?? Did FDR wait when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?!
  16. In reality, I don't have too much of a problem about the gripes about the technical part of the coaching but the calling for Skip's head NOW, saying he was a bad hire is a ******* joke. Am I happy about recent results? Of course not, but bottom line is we've got 8 more games to play this season and if this year is similar to last year, I wouldn't have a whole lot to say about the whining to get rid of him ... still don't know if I'd agree or not, though. Forgive me for sounding eerily like Netanyahu... "Wait? Wait for what?
  17. 25-26 with Conference USA talent. Anyone who thinks you can go from zero and nothing in a few short years then suddenly dominate a Div. 1 conference is simply delusional. it was 16-18, and 4 out of 8 teams in the conference were new to BCS Football. The CUSA talent comment does not hold water, the other 2 schools that came with us from CUSA have won this ****** conference, and so has UCONN. No, you need to get your facts straight...Garbage in/Garbage out... 2005 South Florida 6–6 4–3 T–3rd L Meineke Car Care 2006 South Florida 9–4 4–3 T–4th W Papajohns.com 2007 South Florida 9–4 4–3 T–3rd L Sun 2008 South Florida 8–5 2–5 6th W St. Petersburg 2009 South Florida 8–5 3–4 T–4th W International South Florida: 95–57 25–26 please tell me how that equals 51 Big East games? It was actually 17-18. i miscounted. That 25-26 record includes CUSA, which is actually even more sad, and proves my point. Nope...You are so myopic and ignernt of USF Football you don't know what year they joined the Big East. haha, sir u are a dumbass, they joined in 05, Leavitt coached through 09. That means Leavitt coached for 5 years in the Big East. Your numbers of 25-26 show 51 Big East games which would mean we play over 10 conference games a year. I think you may want to look again. Well...That's what I get for copying and pasting. The point remains and changes nothing.
  18. Leavitt had peaked.... we weren't going to get any higher with him here. We also weren't going any lower. Valid point... I wasn't trying to support the current staff with my statement... I just don't believe that Leavitt was the long term answer. Leavitt had peaked.... we weren't going to get any higher with him here. That's just your uinformed opinion. Please give us some stats, someone with some college football knowledge. According to you Leavitt should have easily won a NC for USF. What? Now you're starting to sound an awful lot like Mizzou... or whatever his name wasl. Look... I never said Leavitt should have won a NC here... but I still don't think he was going to get us much farther. Well that Mizzou guy must be a real fart smeller! O-kay...So tell us what Leavitt should have accomplished to earn your respect. Please give us some standards, records...give us some specificity. Don't be vague with something like, "I don't think he was going to get us much farther."
