  1. Half of my wardrobe is green and gold so I wear my USF gear proudly all the time! The other half is mostly fishing related apparel, so I won't lie, today I did wear my Skinny Water Culture. BUT, I wore my USF this past weekend and will be wearing it more throughout the week! I have so many reasons to be proud of being a Bull!
  2. Agree. I think she wants to see USF succeed in every aspect possible, including athletics. She has done some great things for our university and is respected by a lot for that. If our coach had even half the passion that our president has for USF, we might see some different results on the field.
  3. Ok, ok, ok... fine! I completely understand quantum mechanics! There, it must be true since I said it!
  4. Wow! This is way better than when I switched to GEICO!
  5. $2.5 million to buy him out seems doable. We can raise that right? Bake sale? Car wash?
  6. I am definitely not giving up my tickets. In fact, I am probably going to buy the two next to me so me and my wife can take friends with us. I don't know that many people will want to go if next season is anything like this one, but I will not give up my season tickets just because we suck right now. We will not always suck, so I'm sticking with it. However, it is discouraging to know that I spend my hard earned money and we are paying our coach an insane amount of money to continually lose games and doesn't act like he could care at all!
  7. It could get worse, but it is pretty bad when we are halfway through the season and 2-4 and we are all pretty much in agreement that we don't see another win on the horizon any time soon. Things could get worse, but don't kid yourself, things are bad right now... pretty freaking bad.
  8. I don't know what Skip is talking about. We are consistent... we consistently lose!!!! Tony Dungy had the respect of his players, I don't think Skip does. Tony Dungy had passion for his players, his team, and winning, I don't think Skip does. Tony Dungy knew how to coach, I don't think Skip does. Skip is no Tony Dungy and never will be. I don't know why we are even comparing the two.
  9. I think the biggest factor's are being able to earn the players respect and being passionate about your program. Unfortunately, I'm really doubting our coach has either of these right now. It's interesting because I brought this up with a friend after we played UF when Skip had just arrived. I forget which player it was now, but he had two offsides penalties right in a row. I remember he getting pulled after the second and heading over to the sideline. I specifically noticed how Skip just approached him calm and cool, said a few words to him and then patted him on the helmet and the player went about his business. I told my buddy after that game how I noticed that because he was the polar opposite of our former coach and I said "it'll be interesting to see which coaching style gets better results." Well, based on results so far... I think a good coach can get results regardless of his demeanor, but I definitely like to see a guy get fired up every now and then! Our coach just seems so completely numb to any result on the football field and that's irritating!
  10. I enjoy college football...Hell I love this time of the year...I didn't attend USF or any other college for that matter...I went to vocational school and got started in my career pretty early...I did'nt care in HS and didn't have grades for college...am I not allowed to wear USF gear or fly a USF flag in my front yard?...I know I didn't spends thousands of dollars attending USF and I guess that makes me less of a fan...but for the last 10 years I have been attending games and rooting for the Bulls...My wife and kids are Bulls fans...my daughter is 2 1/2 and knows "Go Bulls" and throws up the horns...are they allowed to do that? I pray my kids go to college...and if they don't make it to an Ivy League school then I hope they attend USF...Sory to rant a little but that just rubbed me the wrong way..oh well...GO BULLS!! I love these kids more than anything else! I am not saying you can't be a fan of a football team because you didn't go to school there. I appreciate all USF fans because we all know you could have easily chosen another Florida school to cheer for if you have no academic ties. My best friend is a diehard UF fan and always has been, but he graduated from UT. What I am referring to are the obnoxious fairweather fans who only cheer for their teams when they win a game, or who like to talk a lot of **** to fans of other schools. You have to understand, as someone who does spend quite a bit of money and time to earn a degree from a certain school, there is a certain level of pride that someone who hasn't gone to school there will never know. My best friend is one of the biggest UF fans you could ever meet, but he will never have that same sense of pride in UF as an actual UF grad. He also is not an obnoxious **** talker or a fairweather fan either, which I am sure you are not either. Those kind of fans I can respect, but the other ones I have little patience for.
  11. FSU fans are mostly classy Keep in mind that there are some out there that aren't part of FSU, but call themselves fans, and they got a chance to see "their" team play closer to home than a game in Tally would be. I'm guessing there were more freaks out there tonight in Seminole gear than there would be at a game at Doak. No matter what, other than ours FSU has the classiest fan base in the state of FL, bar none. Yes the FSU are classy people they are nice pople too when i was at the game on sat someone yake on some duds shirt someone just gave him his shrit when i was at the game there was more fsu fan then bulls fan if the bulls call them real fan not win or loss you stick with your team. that what you call a die hard fan. sat would not call a die hard fan and that sad. This serious made me laugh out loud because I was reading his comment I was like, huh, then I scrolled down and saw this, LOL! I even showed my wife and she laughed too!
  12. The fact of the matter is, this is wrong. Athletics can sit in the passenger seat and provide a nice co-pilot, but academic success drives academia. If college football for some reason went away tomorrow, universities would still operate and still be successful. With over $400 million in research funding last year, football doesn't drive USF's success. If it were true, universities wouldn't still be successful while having losing sports programs. I understand the argument, and being nationally recognized because your football team is on ESPN every week does help to get your name out there and the money does help, but academia is not driven by athletics. Make that argument to all the ivy league schools. But with that said, Go Bulls!
  13. I'm gonna agree with this statement. FSU is in a very weak ACC this year and has the easiest road to getting into that national title game. I wasn't very impressed with them, and keep in mind, they haven't really been challenged till last week against Clemson and this was their FIRST road game. They are not as superior as everyone makes them out to be and their offense only made it into the endzone twice against us... we did the same. Anyone who is saying they took it easy last night because it was USF is giving them too much credit. They wanted that win as much as we did and they got it because they're a better team. Are they good enough to win a national title... not from what I've seen.
  14. Btw, my section was standing for most of the game and no one said anything. I was standing the entire game, but I'm pretty short too so maybe no one behind really noticed.
  15. In my section it seemed like most of the USF fans had sold their tickets to FSU fans because there was a lot of them where we sit. I have always said, I respect FSU fans the most of any of the Florida schools. I met up with one of my good buddies who was a groomsman in my wedding and he graduated from FSU and came down for the game. We were talking about it and I think one of the reasons I have more respect for the FSU fans is that most of them actually went to school there, but they also show a lot more class. My buddy said they actually have a shirt making fun of Gator fans that says something like "I wear my teams colors because I went to school there, you wear your teams colors because you went to Walmart." Haha, I love that. Anyway, I will say aside from having to deal with the annoying ass war chant all night long, I had no problems with the FSU fans.
  16. I heard it was because BJ was shaken up on the previous play and they were checking him out to make sure he was okay. I don't know if that was actually the case or not. And this is just a case of the coaches trying to cover their asses here, c'mon, it's convenient isn't it that on the most bonehead play of the game was when the headset magically stopped working. Give me a break! Floyd should have never been put in that situation, period!
  17. Let me just say as a current student at USF, that around campus, there is definitely no one more powerful than Judy and everyone knows that, including the head football coach who makes considerably more money. Like her botox smile or not, she is VERY well respected with the student body and in the community as well. She may not know jack about football and who should or shouldn't be coaching our team, but you can't argue with the progress that USF has made academically in recent years. We are still on the way up in that respect. I've talked to her a few times and she is always very approachable to anyone on campus. I have never got the impression that she has an ego and lets it affect her decision making. With that said, I wasn't around when the firing happened. And as for Doug, don't know the guy well enough to say he's got an inflated ego, but that's my honest opinion of Judy.
  18. Oh man I can't wait to completely lose my voice today!!! GO BULLS!
  19. About freaking time! I am looking forward to seeing EJ Manuel getting a good look at a sea of green and gold today on several occasions... from flat on his back!
  20. "There's no question that USF can match up with Florida State." "They've got great talent, I really believe in this team." I wish our current head coach would make statements like this!
  21. You know, under different circumstances, I'm pretty sure most USF fans would love to see us included on a "top 5" list with those other 4 teams!
  22. Thanks for the podcast link! I only got to catch the first part of the interview because I had to pick up my pops from a procedure over in Lakeland... 98.7 doesn't come in too good in Lakeland. It turns to some gospel station!
