  1. Pulls up the data around Covid and the 18-22 age group...notices the flu is deadlier for that age bracket...par for the course I suppose for UCF...
  2. No...they cry a lot and have a ton of personal political bias...it bleeds into many of the comments they make...
  3. Quite frankly this is a good thing...nobody wants to see biased responses around political topics...
  4. I like Cade and Noah's film...but I am leaning towards Noah do to his speed. I think people forget as well that McCloud only played qb for 1 year in hs and he was underdeveloped...he may be a dark horse to win the starting job...
  5. Statistically speaking the flu is deadlier for that particular age group 18-22...player safety isn't an issue...now you could have the discussion of spread to more vulnerable age groups, that is fair...I have seen nonsensical reports of long term damage for Covid for young people...you know, it is odd becaue we now have an astronomical amount of college age folks that have recovered and haven't had long term damage from this..they seem to be doing just fine...if there was REAL data that supported this claim...do you really think playing would be entertained...in fact, do you think any sports organizations would be playing?
  6. It is amazing how much money I was drinking every weekend...
  7. I had high hopes for the guy...in hindsight he just had better talent at Valdosta compared to the competition...
  8. I mean, watching Brian Kelly's head explode would almost slot it at number one alone...
  9. Good write-up...I didn't realize Johnson was hurt the majority of his senior year...
  10. I don't know...I am learning towards the very first game played as game 1
  11. Data always clears through white noise...no matter how hard people feed into their personal biases...the data wins...100% of the time...
  12. It can be misleading, or it can't as well...your statement is partially incorrect...that being said...these restrictions are like a dial on radio...if we turn the knob too much, we simply turn it back...like the bars for instance...doing a complete shut down was absolutely the wrong course of action as dictated by the data...The thread has been derailed and I apologize..
  13. Well, in Florida the trend is going back down...take a look at the latest dashboard (ER visits, percent positive etc..) I also got an update on the ICU and bed levels this morning...the medical experts think the peak will be end of July and trend back down...now with that being said, the fall could bring an entire new set cases....I think the odds are much higher then you think that football will be played in some capacity in the fall...I will make one final comment that really bothers me...when you hear experts on various ESPN shows (almost daily) they say the reason it would be delayed is because is player safety...these statements are lazy at best and detrimental at worse...the data demonstrates that player safety is actually a NON-ISSUE here for the 18-22 age group...the odds of dying of the flu are greater then dying of Covid for that particular age group...that drives me insane when I hear those irresponsible comments
  14. No worries...the leading indicators at least in Flordia are starting to trend back down or flattening...ER visits with Covid symptoms...etc...now the question to all of this is...if college football is played, could there be an outback among teams where they spread this to older age...seems actually doubtful when you calmly take a step back and look at all of the variables in place...I think a big test will be when MLB starts playing...not completely the same thing, but it will be a good test having a large team travel from city to city...
  15. One...I am informed...in fact, most likely WAAAAAYYY more so then you...secondly, you assume all hell will break lose and there will be no controls in the environment...that is a fallible train of thought, and luckily the people making these decisions are EXAMING THE DATA AS A WHOLE and not panicking...the season may very well still be cancelled...but there are a number of variables are being analyzed before thay decision is made...
  16. Shall we cite the probabilty of a college age football player going to the hospital or dying? It is astronomically low...in fact, for the 18-22 age group, the probabilty of dying is greater for then the flu then Covid...now that being said, there should no fans at games...that is just the starting point...
  17. Wait till we run the annexation of Puerto Rico!!!
  18. all very good questions and these questions bleed into the question of spring football...this is ANOTHER KEY set of reasons why football in the fall has not been cancelled yet...unfortunately I don't have answers on one way or another...I would actually be surprised if they increase the number of scholarship because they grant another year of eligibility...everyone is like "yeah football will just happen in the spring." In my opinion, I think if football in the fall is cancelled...there will be no football for the year...it gets incredibly hairy if they try to kick things off in the spring...oh and not to mention WE HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THE VIRUS WILL LOOK LIKE IN THE SPRING...if we are panicking now...well then...
  19. That being said if you remove the white noise (news sources) and look at ALL of the data and source a pool of health experts (not just the one that CNN or Fox trot out there to support the one sided story they are presenting)...we actually have a pretty clear picture of what is happening...we know how deadly the virus is for each respective age group, we also know the hospitalization ratio for each age group...we know how contagious the virus is...its all there, you just have to put a bit of effort into your research...because if you rely on a news network to spoon feed you the information, they are only going to feed you PART of the data to support whatever bias that is built into their story...hell, I can even follow PBS any longer and they were essentially the last news source I trusted....
  20. There are so many issues if folks try to move football to the spring...if the powers that be decide to make the jump to cancel, I doubt college football will be played at all for the year
  21. There has already been a 3 week timeframe from when cases began to spike...and the IFR% continues to drop...
