    Now that the other conferences have not joined the Pac 12 and BIG 10 they are trying to rush forward a plan for spring...a couple of key things here...peak cold and flu season is between Dec and Feb...and continual playing for that amount of time...spring football is not happening...there are many other variables beyond those two that send this into the ground...if the other conferences do end up cancelling fall (I actually think the season will start now) the restart won't happen till the following fall...

    I don't think any of us should trust the USF Football twitter handle...over the past few years, they make them out to be the 85 Chicago Bears...It's like when I was a kid growing up in the 80's and I would watch the NFL Films Bucs highlights...I always thought to myself after watching the video "How the hell did they not win the super bowl."

    Exactly...the claim that irreversible lung damage by 18-22 year olds was indeed...not backed up by data...

    It was reported early on that although young folks had a low risk of dying that there were an alarming amount that had irreversible lung damage...as more and more cases came in that turned out to not be the case...

    Trust me...if 18-22 year olds (which happen to be the highest percentage of Covid cases) had a high percentage of irreversible lung damage...that would be certainly broken down in granule detail...odd thing how that just isn't the case...

    By the way, if the massive amount of data that we have supports irreversible heart damage...nobody should leave their house...forget about any professional or collegiant sport league...but guess what, the data does not indeed support these claims... Bingo...

    We saw the same type limited data around irreversible lung damage which turned out to be nonsense...how can the say that this happens at a higher rate then other virus with such a small sample...this too, will turn out to be nonsense...

    I was talking to a co-worker about the stoppage he lives in Champaign IL and is Illini alum...he thinks the presidents threatening to cancel the season and the players wanting to play is under the guise of Covid and is really around a negotiation between the school and the players...that is the real game here...

    What drives me insane is continually turning on any ESPN show where they make statements that go against what the data indicates...Booger was on get up today and I can't make this up...he said "how can you ask fans to not attend a game and ask the players to play and not say it is about safety." Well, Boog...if you understood the data you would see that the effects of this virus drastically change as you move past the 18-22 age group...it is safe for those players to actually play...it is not as safe having a 60 year old fan congregate with a bunch of other people in the stands...I feel like I am taking crazy pills watching the bias statements by the talking heads on ESPN continually repeat their nonsense on a daily basis...

    As do many others...and coincidentally the data actually demonstrates that player safety is not an issue...the big question is if the fear of litigation of the Presidents of the P5 will override all of this...
