  1. ^ As Gismoa stated, plus that $25 could be $30mil with tier 3 . Image the possibities of what a USF could do making $10 mil more than FSU a year, with Taggert. USF is a sleeping giant with $4-6 mil in revenues from tv expected, look what another $25mil could do. FSU / Miami should be scared of that possibity and AQ status of USF. Right now Taggert is doing a good job of recruiting but add bettter coaches with more money and the fact you would not be facing as negative recruiting about being in NBE. Again not saying its happening just expecting it to be rumored
  2. Rumors of the day, Coogs (UH) fans think they might be headed to Pac or ACC today. Imo if they make a move soon its MWC
  3. Also with LHN is that Texas makes $15 mil a year and ESPN owns it for next 15 years. This is why ESPN is losing money with it and Texas is not. So ESPN would want LHN network in Fla to sell to cable companies. But ESPN (isnt ready ) at least last i heard to pay another $100 mil a year to contract for 2 new teams to get each team a extra $5 mil a year for tier 1&2. Currently $20 mil.
  4. LHN is selling direct to cable companies, so yes Texas wants it in Fla and other schools who have their own network to but will a cable company buy it. IMO having USF/UCF would help but Miami/FSU is where its vieweship is at. Miami cant sellout their stadium but alot of people watch them. Also with Miami their 2 choices are only a solid ACC or Big 12. So if FSU flirts elsewhere Miami might bounce.
  5. 70% ACC merger with BE 30% Either NBE or MWC (Football) Big 12 is not going to crack ACC, SEC and B1G can but do they, I think so. UCF/USF to Big 12 rumors might be heard but dont believe them, imo as those will be used to scare other FLa teams. Could you image if USF/UCF could make $25mil a year for Tier 1&2 and work together and "buy" WVU tv rights for a Tier 3 network for FLa to kept for its own. While FSU and Miami make $15-19 mil for all 3 tiers. Not including a little better bowl sharings and BCS money.
  6. Watch for rumors coming out of B1G and tOSU. Big 12 meets at end of month.
  7. A lot of this is SEC feeling the heat of B1G going big and after the SEC markets.
  8. Kind of like WVU would be joining the ACC, huh? Provided you with informed knowledge (no rumors as in rumor thread on conf. Realign) search him on twitter and you will see, decision coming on Friday between 3, Maimi and Auburn making late pushes for him but ASU 60%, WVU 25%, KSt 10% others 5%
  9. Would be nice but he is FSU then Miami IMO.
  10. Looks more like the Jags new home that UNLV will get to play in to me.
  11. According to that article, May or June is the earliest they would see the penalty phase. Yes Notice of Allegations this week, but them taking 2 self imposed bowl bids help them out. Really I think it's 1 more then the scollie reduction, and really don't think Miami will fight it too hard if they do they might get worse.
  12. Everything I have heard lately is good for USF but in the meantime USF has to deal with NBE ********.which is most likely in your opinion? ACC Big 12 or MW Initially MWC with UCF, but depends on when B1G decides to move, moves will be made prior to 2016 before their tv contract is up, probably sooner than ACC which will end up being merger BE/ACC. (USF might be looking to dump all but football in Conf USA or possibly BBall with C7 but I don't see C7 letting UCF come with therefore it probably won't happen) Remember guys I said weeks ago about Cincy and UConn looking at MaC for football to stay with C7. Whit (Cincy AD) knows what hes doing.
  13. Also watch for NCAA statement on Miami this week, I don't think they will get death penalty, but IMO, 1 more year bowl ban so 3 total, and will have the scholarship reduction that USC has, (something like 85,75,65, 85)
  14. Watch the Maryland case, their reply should be soon and the ACC does not want things to go public about their deal. Swofford (ACC) and ESPN/Raycomm(Swoffords son) is costing each team $10-20 mil depending on who it is. A lot of rumors even outside of football saying FSU has a 5 year plan for AAU status, that means a lot.
  15. Everything I have heard lately is good for USF but in the meantime USF has to deal with NBE ********.
  16. Makes zero sense for both programs. ALOT of this is if Houston and SMU gets MWC fever, Boise opened up a interesting bowl money aspect, instead of equal share, the BCS team would get half then share other bowls, this is a possible $5mil dollar a year bonus over the Big East if your team is BCS member. Cincy and Uconn are seeing if they will make more $ in a split league with C7 teams, they have been looking at MWC and MAC as parking spots for football especially if the new Big East adds don't make $ sense for them. Marshall is one of them 5-8 teams being looked at to replace Boise, SDSU, Navy and possibly SMU and Houston, which is what Cincy and Uconn is a bit worried. This will also make it easier to and cheaper if they want to blow up Big East prior to June 31st, 2013 making it easier to get in ACC in future. Remebr there is 4 Big East teams left right now, and Temple can't vote on league dissolving until July 1st. So 2-1 vote could happen, Cincy, Uconn versus USF.
  17. Going to NC State the weekend before on the Mon the 28th. I expect NC State has Badet and Woulard already. Disagree I think both headed to UK to be on Neal Browns offense, he runs the air raid with a zone read option, possibly add Janarion Grant.
  18. It appears that they have made a very sound business decision. They will be more stable than what remains of the BE. I agree, I would want USF to do whats in its best interest. Again this is about Fox truly stepping up and making a run at ESPN, they need basketball inventory to do so to compete with ACC.
  19. WVU is probably not an option as we are recruiting a Juco QB in Tanner McEvoy, had Brisset transferred last year WVU might be option but we need a new QB next year. I think Feldman is on to something. Jason Lieser â€@PBPjasonlieser A month or so ago there was a strong chance of QB Jacoby Brissett going to USF, but the Bulls' coaching change did not sit well with him. Details 4m Jason Lieser â€@PBPjasonlieser QB Jacoby Brissett leaving Florida: http://www.palmbeach...ansfer/nTnxx/ … Where is he going & where does it leave Gators at QB? Details Bruce Feldman â€@BFeldmanCBS One more & out for Teddy? MT @PBPjasonlieser: QB Jacoby Brissett will transfer from UF. Source sez top choices are WVU, L'ville, ARK & NC St
  20. Visiting WVU on 18 th with Stacy Thomas, then UCF on 25th. Still questions about grades and health. 65% UCF WVU 25% others 10% imo
  21. My guess 50% Kentucky - 30% Pitt -and 20% USF
  22. Texas has (Raider Rash) Texas Tech issue as an email to B1G came out when Texas and B1G were talking a couple of years ago. A&M got out because it was getting into a secure league. Only way Texas gets away from Tech, Baylor and even TCU is if they are all secure in a major league. Thus if Big 12 dispanded an Texas and KU to B1G 6and others would need homes. 3 would TCU, Baylor and Tech to Pac. I dont think OU / OSU are as tied as Texas schools but I would assume OSU would have to have Pac for OU/WVU to SEC. USF needs to package itself with UCF, until it makes absolute sense not to.
  23. Hes not the only one who might end up there. Others include Jeff Badet Janarion Grant Jojo Kemp Ben Bradley Nate Willis
  24. Houston president quoted as wanting nothing to do with a Western conference. They have a relationship with the eastern teams. Don't know about SMU. True but SMU (interesting to see what they say) and Houston are tied together and they also see an ACC invite assuming collapse.
