  1. Well thats my exactly problem with him. And the fact last year he was the ONLY coach to not put Kevin Jones on his POY ballot, alright we are leaving and you dont want him to win it over your guy but dont vote 3 guys ahead of him.
  2. This is very possible oh how I would love to see Marq and that bald idiot get left out.
  3. I can tell you all something if I was a network exec looking at Boise and New Big East, I would make them replace their turf prior to putting them on tv nationally, as that bowl game is unwatchable with that blue, my wife said within 3 minutes it hurts her eyes.
  4. Assuming no BBall teams I figure the TV contract for each team will be worth $3-4million dollars for tier 1&2 , schools keep their own tier 3 like Big 12 since a network probably won't be in pay initially. So for a 12 team ~$36-48 mil and 16 team ~$48-64 mil. This is because ESPN was willing to give the 7 BBall teams $1.5-2 mil a year, and they will get Big Monday games on 7 pm and ultimately MSG when they break the contract with Big East.
  5. They will sue and then be given their share of monies owed to BE prior to their arrival. Just like RU is suing saying they never have got money yet. Only way they don't is if they negotiate out of getting any money owed to them if hey can leave early. It will be interesting to see how tv contract works with them in BE for 27 months. It might just be easier to say leave now and we call it even to make everything else easier, then split money between Cincy, UConn, and USF.
  6. Well then make the best of a new league / Big East (depending on BBall) but don't sign a GOR just incase Enjoy the success you will see under Taggart and wait till the Big 12 GOR is up in 12 years and see how the super conferences happen then if it does.
  7. I agree 100%. Who's doing it? I'm sure JG and DW are trying ... lol yeah sure. Keep dreaming Trip. They are doing what they can even giving a presentation/status report to Big 12, the money is not there right now for Big 12 to expand in the way it's tv contracts are setup and the fact 6/10 teams are in Texhoma and don't want to give up playing one another. The ACC has a plan if/when the conference dam starts leaking then breaks open and until then JD and DW are doing whatever is best for the mean time. Those two cant force an invite and have done the same type of marketing Cincy has done but no one has done a FOIA to see what they have done. The ACC setup wil make it beneficial for USF/UCF to team up if 6 teams leave ACC with 2 being Miami and FSU.
  8. Tuxedo Yoda - who is actually leveled headed blew up yesterday and then said B1Gs moves start next week, most thought after bowls and all are settled before 2014. If so BE Bball teams 2 teams to approve dissolution, so next year BE football could be called the one and done league with the BCS bid
  9. Dont know how a legal battle comes, worse thing for BBall teams they can't dissolve league so they leave in 27 months with no payment. MSG will cancel contract and resign with new BBall league. Football gets Big East name but do you want it? UConn won't sue ESPN as they help them get in ACC as does Cincy.
  10. WVU has recruited Fla since the 80s, right now in Big 12 we are seeing higher rated recruits than in the past. But in the past we had a higher number of Fla kids. Right now we have 21 commits (planning on taking 30) 4 of those from Fla. I would expect 2-3 more possible, in the past 10-12 a year was possible. UL with Strong and Hurtt are the ones concentrating on Fla now. Yes it's important to some kids to play in home state others not so much now as everyone is recruiting Fla even Oklahoma. But now it's almost as important for the families just to see game on TV. WVU only had 2 non nationally televised games that wasnot on FX, Fox, ABc/EsPn, so a family like Geno's and Stedman in Miami got to see their games more this year than last.
  11. Can you really convince these teams to join knowing if ACC starts getting picked UConn, Cincy, USF, and UCF will take off in a second. You could try for a GOR but I don't see those teams USF included signing one, Unless these schools think another conference is getting canabalized on way to 4-16s either Big 12 or ACC.
  12. I dont listen to what all the dud says as some is propaganda but some of the guys he teets back and forth are good Ingram for one.
  13. It has to be at least 6 teams leaving and best option for USF those 6 being Duke, Unc, GT /Vt, BC/UVA, FSU and Miami. Adds will be UConn, Cincy, Usf, UCf and possibly 2 more Remember next expansion round takes value away from ESPN which they dont like
  14. As much as Jimbo and his supporters want out their academics, prez, AD still want ACC and wont be first to leave unless its for B1G.
  15. Bray saying UL and ND working on scheduling ACC in 2013 with Pitt and Cuse. Dont know what this means for B1G because MD and RU is 2014. Could MD tell ACC you want us out now then you better decrease exit fee.
  16. ACC already has that with ND and if UConn would go as partial 16. And those 4teams bball adds are good for a bball league with football.
  17. Question remains does SDSU, Boise, SMU, Houston feel better in PAClite with possibly BYU and Tulsa versus a BE? With USF, UCF, Cincy and Temple because UConn will be in ACC soon even if its partially. Then having USF, UCF and Cincy join ACC with Uconn full if 6 leave ACC. Then ACC can add 4 bball teams, GT, Nova, St Johns, Marq and leaving Depaul, Provid and Seton Hall to beg A10
  18. Remember when I said what if UConn went semi indpendent as 16 with ND.
  19. No i did not say FSU to B1G, i said B1G outlets (bucknets) say they are targeting FSU. I think FSU and Miami is paert of 6 teams leave ACC. Also Adam Zagoria is blogging Temple cannot stop dissolution of BE
  20. Also with Hou and SMU, Conf USA would be horrible, have u seen who they are adding. Charlotte, ODU, UTSa, MTSU, Fiu, fau
  21. PAC can always steal from MW later, but those teams might be looking for best home temporarily. Also there is still questions if Boise can compete when they move up not being able to take Prop 48s
