I was from the Orlando area and I had absolutely no desire what so ever to go to UCF and never even applied. It felt too close to home for me. I wanted to get away from my parents. I think it's a valid reason Tampa kids might prefer UCF instead of USF. I know it was a factor for me when I chose schools to apply to.

Death penalty cuts at the reason for the cover up in the first place. Everyone covered for Sandusky to preserve the football program and image of the university. It looks like they succeeded if the football program is not shut down. Football should get the death penalty.

Instead of the death penalty, what about ban on home games for one season. All games for the season away games. Compromise between death penalty and none?

So on the dr.drew show last night they were talking about this case and said that in 1999 the DA had plenty of evidence to prosecute but didn't. The investigators believe that even the the local DA and campus police were complacent in this cover up. They said one person skipped all university administration and police and notified the local authorities directly to report an incident after seeing a first report go no where when reported to the university. The guest on Dr. Drew said that he believes the DA at the time may have been under outside pressure (from university officials and Paterno) to not press charges. He said that things looks really bad for the DA at the time because apparently they had enough evidence to charge Sandusky many years ago but didn't. It looks like every person with power to do something chose not to.

i go to mcdonalds once or twice a month i cant drink coffee without put a few cubes of ice---it is so hot believe me i am so careful with that molten liquid I'm with you on this one... I have to wait a while before I can drink coffee from most places, it is served way too hot.

He has only owned up to it because he got caught. It was traced to an address and someone there named him. I don't give him any credit for confessing after he was caught.

Motel is liable? What about the party who specified the rail height? Was that also the motel?

Coffee should not be served so hot to drivers and the public at large.

Maybe mcdonalds should stop serving coffee. Permanent scarring on the arm is unfortunate. Was this a case of the coffee being too hot as well? What temperature is it supposed to be?

So nobody who has ever been arrested should be allowed to go to college? Or is it only USF that should institute this policy? I promise you there are people enrolled at USF who have been convicted not only of the same crime, but of more serious ones. You are no more or less in danger by kicking this one dude out who stole a phone one time. If a person commits a crime against another student while enrolled he or she should be kicked out. That is my stance. USF should take a harsh stance against student on student crime. Kick out the suspect if found guilty.

He should not be allowed to continue his education at USF. He can apply to another institution and continue there. Sure it sucks for the perpatraitor, but what about the victims and potrntial future victims? USF students should not have to be subjected to known theives. I don't want to be sharing space on campus with known theives. Also USF rec should offer free temporary lockers for the members to use.

Maybe we'd have been classified differently had we won two big east titles. We've had the talent to do it but have failed.

I hope he gets kicked out of USF. don't want other students to have things stolen.

It was so annoying. He owned the game and I did not so he was already better, then when we played he would go into his roster at the beginning, put his wide receiver to running back, them toss it to the outside and my defense could not get him. Maybe it was my lack of play choosing and skill, but it was frustrating. After being creamed a number of times I just turned down his requests to play.

Well, this isnt for football really, but for the mad cow users, texags.com has a very active politics forum and many different topics and active discussions. The boards interface is not as nice and the board itself is not as sophisticated as tbp however. Don't see a reason users would like it for sports, just A&M and SEC talk, but I think mad cow users might like the political forum there.

I recall many years ago my friend was a huge NCAA fan but he would always, every single time, move his teams fastest player to running back, and then just run it to the outside a ton and the defense could never catch him. It was really effective, is this strategy still highly effective?

If Paterno's statue isn't removed from campus I really hope the public deface it until it is removed. The NCAA should set a precedent. Gross acts of immoral behavior by the sports programs of member institutions will not be tolerated. Many professional organizations have codes of ethics with penalties or expulsion for improper or immoral conduct. Penn State football to the victims is a reminder of the crimes committed against them and that a football program was of more importance than their protection.

FBI releasing more on the investigation today. He said that every person of high authority showed no concern with what was happening to the victims, gave four specific names, including Paterno.

I haven't been that impressed with Daniels or the offense in general honestly. I believe our defense was a much larger contributor to our poor performance however. Last year was the worst defense I've seen since becoming a Bull in 2007.
