  1. FAU is a good fit. He probably leaves there to a place he thinks can get to the playoff if he keeps winning. FSU didn’t give him enough time.
  2. 1.8 million with 100,000 annual raises. He is getting 500,000 up front. I suspect there are other performance bonuses.
  3. I kind of feel the same, but most hires will be looking for their next stop. I hope he doesn’t bomb like Antigua did.
  4. Someone already updated Jeff Scott’s wiki page. Guess we’ll find out soon. I hope Leavitt didnt resign from FSU seeking the USF job and MK reneged on him. I think Leavitt is the better hire.
  5. Totally anonymous internet rumors are my favorite because you can be hopeful and at the same time not disappointed if it’s false.
  6. Considering how many players Leavitt sent to the NFL from USF, he is a phenomenal coach. And his win-loss record supports that.
  7. Dennis Dodd (@dennisdoddcbs) Tweeted: Yikes, FSU president John Thrasher has urged donors to up their giving to a “one-time 20% increase” to fund the coaching search.
  8. Poor FSU: https://mobile.twitter.com/dennisdoddcbs/status/1203059169353445377 https://mobile.twitter.com/dennisdoddcbs/status/1203059169353445377
  9. I don’t know a **** thing. But it seems many people post confidently about their own knowledge or rumors, ones which cannot possibly be true.
  10. Yep. I just saw on a other board two posters both saying they’ve heard Kiffin has already signed, but one is saying it’s Ole Miss, the other is saying it’s Arkansas. Clearly Kiffin didn’t sign with both.
  11. Leavitt’s has had a few coaching jobs since he was accused of hitting a player. NFL, Colorado, Oregon, FSU. Didn’t stop any of those places from hiring him. For the record. I don’t believe Leavitt hit Joel Miller. I think it was embellished at best or completely falsified at worst. It was used by some egos at USF to push Leavitt out.
  12. Taking advice from FSU about running a program is absurd. Their players were out of control and their culture is rotten.
  13. The back pack makes a ton more since now that I learned when Taggart arrived he was shocked at the culture there of skipping class. FSU has a terrible entitlement culture that has infected everyone affiliated with it, players, students, fans, and boosters. I actually like that Strong made a playmaker belt. I hope we stick with it so all players or units can be recognized.
  14. This guy seems to be in Bell’s camp. I question the reasoning abilities of anyone who wants Bell to be the head coach.
  15. EVERY WINNING TEAM HAS “ONCE IN A DECADE” PLAYERS.
  16. FSU is a disaster and the whole town of Tallahassee has a cultural problem. Tallahassee PD cover up player crimes. Winston is steaming crab legs, ****, other FSU players involved in vandalism and battery. So when Taggart showed up there was a culture of skipping classes it seems. No wonder Jimbo jumped ship. I can tell you none of that misbehavior would fly with A&M admins or College Station PD. It’s interesting that Taggart delegated the play calling at FSU. They were too eager to fire him.
  17. My order of preference is 1. Leavitt, 2. Taggart, Kiffin (Tie)
  18. Ah, I misunderstood your other post, makes sense now. Yeah the defense was average in my opinion, and I think the defensive stats would be better if the offense could have scored.
  19. I’d rather have Leavitt as head coach, and if he fails, peacefully retire and be honored, and Taggart head coach in waiting. Or maybe Leavitt doesn’t want to deal with the media. it would be unreal if both came back to USF to try and build it back up together. They already have a relationship together and Florida roots. Could be a good fit if everyone’s egos and emotions and vision for USF and their role is aligned. It’s that alignment that I just find really unlikely.
  20. I wonder if there would be an ego battle...? And how the salaries would be.
  21. Yeah, even in game 12, I just watched the lineman get run right by every play like they were manikins.
