You only get 25 per class whether you use them or not. Sometimes like last year you get a small class in because of the amount of returning seniors. I believe we will have 25 available next year too so I don't think he needs to hold any back. It's smart to have the guys he recruits this year get more experience in college next year and be that much better than holding onto any empty spots IMO
Can someone explain then why some schools have more than 25 commits? Texas A&M currently has 34 commits I believe.
Some schools take excess commits with the thinking some will switch, not be eligible, lose players to transfer or the draft. Also sometimes they could be preferred walk ons or grey shirted
