    He wouldn't have enrolled until next January so his eligibility wouldn't start til then. He also would have counted toward next years class

    During the dead period recruits can contact coaches and can meet with them on campus. The coaches just can't have any contact outside of that aside from 1 call a week per recruit for the entire staff
